First and last try ... I've been pushed at T1 during qualifying, after only 5mn! I preferred to quit :yikesss:

I remember now why I stopped online racing...

Remy... things that happen... I really hope you to reconsider it. It's just not about "online racing" but about "one mistake"...

Next race at Clermont Ferrand, 10 laps.

Warren, could you host it?

Thanks Warren and all drivers!!

Clermont is up on Hauls2. I will adjust the race length to 10 laps and change the start grid in a day or two.

Hello guys!

We suspended the race in Clermont Ferrand because we were too fewer drivers.  I guessed this would happen at some moment and therefore always considered this series as "experimental" :)  All GPLers have our years already full of races.

I guess, also, that a complicated track, as Clermont didn't help... but on the other hand everybody know Clermont so I don't know.  Other thing is the start of oAo just yesterday.

So, I think the options are: (1) to stop the series, (2) to race more loosely (to say every 2 weeks or in the weeks without oAo races), or (3) to continue as we're now.
I also have my year full of regular season Mybroga races so it's almost the same for me.

Beyond what we decide, I thank all drivers for great races until this moment and Warren for hosting!

Cheers, Marcos.

Hello, Marcos.

Apart from my forgetfullness, I've found that the last two events had to be scrubbed from my agenda thanks to a shoulder/upper arm injury.  Today's offering of Clermont would have been a horror so a DNE was the only option.

By all means, keep the mod up and running.

Ok, thanks for the feedback

I think it was expectable to have less drivers when most leagues start their regular schedules, but I agree that a 67x series is still desirable.

I'll not be at home for a couple of weeks, so we could schedule the next race after that.

Cheers, Marcos.

I was one of the "No Shows" at Clermont but I would really like to see this series continue to develop. The cars are different enough in the handling department to warrant their own series plus the availability of more chassis than the original 67 car set helps make it stand apart from all other leagues at the moment.

The server hosted by Warren also seems to be in the ideal location to allow drivers from Europe, US,  Brazil, Argentina etc to all race with good latency across the board. Not sure if it would also be good for Asian and Antipodean drivers?

Unfortunately due to a family illness I can't commit to racing more than occasionally for the foreseeable future. But I would try to attend when ever I am able if the series does continue in some form or another.

All credit to those involved in organising the races so far.

TTFN
John.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, I like to run servers on iGOR. It started way back in the early 2000's when I pulled a neighbors old PC out of their trash.
That was my first server on VROC. It doesn't take much of a PC to run a server for GPL. I find it great fun to host the latest tracks and mods on my servers. I get to see all the great GPL artists join my servers to check out their latest achievements on my servers. I love it. It's my contribution to the GPL world.
So, I've mentioned " my servers" way too many times.
To keep the ADHOC 67X series going Hauls2 is hosting Zolder 67. If someone wants to step up and run this I can give them the server password.
I think the next track choice should be from a list of acceptable tracks. Just my thoughts here.
A little bit of history here is my "Marconi" location of Cape Cod. Look it up.

Warren, Thanks!

If you agree the next race could be at Zolder! Nobody won at Clermont, after all :)

Warren, could you set Zolder to 24 laps?

This will be the "AHS 7" race at the same hour and day than the previous ones.

If there are enough drivers will be reported in weekly and added to the "rank". If not... just be fun :)

Miguel Palud will restart the server at the time of qualy because I'll be in some Brazilian beach B)

Thanks all for the support! Especially to Warren!

After my rant last night about "my servers" and getting to see the "great GPL artists join my servers". Today I checked Hauls2,the 67X server running Zolder 67. I was rewarded with a Gino Ginetto sighting. Zolder 67 is a Ginetto track and a track I really like. Thanks for all your work Gino!

Zolder is by sure one of the great Masterpieces Ginetto and other Modern Art Trackbuilders gave us :)

Thanks Warren!

Hauls2 is setup to run Zolder 67 with 67X mod as a 24 lap race with a staggered 1X1 grid.
Marcos says Miguel Palud is in charge.

Hi guys!

Given the small number of drivers after the start of the official championships of most leagues, I decided to stop the series, at least in its present form.

Thanks Warren for hosting! Would be great if you want to continue hosting the 67x (or whatever you decide) for pick up races.

See you! Thanks to all!

Marcos
