First let me say that my english talking is not really good! I hope you get the sense of what i meaning to say.

I'm here (again) since a few weeks and i was thinking, it's not necessery to say hello to everyone.
But now, after reading a lot of posts and replies, i have changed my opinion about that.

It seems to me that this community is very small nowadays, i can read always the same names when i'm login.

The first game from papyrus that i owned was Indy500. If i'm thinking about, this is 24 years ago, i'm really getting old.
I have also played IndycarRacing 1 and 2.

GPL belongs to me since it came out in the late 1990s. It was always on my computer, even if i did not touch it for month.  There must be a bit of magic in the game, you can't leave it!

Maybe ten years ago from now, i discoverd the RSC website and that there was a community that creates updates and enhancements for the sim. So i become a member of RSC and downloaded everything that makes the game better.
But to my real shame, i have never left a 'thanks for the files'.  :(

As RSC was down, i found SRMZ as new source for trackupdate and addons.
So I become a member... (shame on me!) :wall:

In the past weeks, after reading a lot of threads here, with great pleasure, i think we do all deeply love the game and the era of motorracing it is representing. The discussions, if monacane is a better represantation of the real track as the papy monaco or if the nose of irwins car shoud be red colored or better orange is great fun to read. Only guys who really love this game can talk about these things.

I want to thank everyone on this community, YOU are keeping this great game alive!!!

My deepest respect    :thanks:

Hans

we are glad that you are glad to appreciate such obsessed search for the holy grail : Monacane and BRM correct color around nose is why some of us stay sticked here.. losing their time and family life as well !

Hope you 'll lost your soul, here . At least, after all these years, welcome

Welcome back Hans,

Pete is right the community is much bigger, we even have someone called `Silence` :)

And I totally agree with you Hans, saying thanks to all the GPL-GODS doing all kind of GPL-work.
(not me, I am only a driving)

THANKS.

Thanks for your words of welcome!

I'm really a bit proud to be a part of this community, but i'm only the smallest one.
It's good that the community is bigger than i expected, may GPL have a very long life.

I like this picture from Monza 1967, as i saw it for the first time, it looked a bit funny to me. :D
But  it's a working pitlight. I hope the man on the pole has had a substitude, in case he had to go on the toilet.

this pit guy wld be a great addition for GPL Monza. But replaced by a young Raquel Welch in miniskirt. Then, many drivers wld perform extra practice laps, for the joy of spectators.

All is perfect :  we have her .. in 1967, and for Christmas time . Great for the realism police.
Definitely, 1967 was an exceptional year, not only for the sexiest cars ever seen .

To compete with Raquel for that pit signal chair, how about Brigitte Bardot seen here from 1967 :
