You guys don't feel this online mod has a lot more grip? I find these cars really easy to drive fast.

They have more grip at slower speeds and a more sudden lost of it when going faster (or the tyres are warmer). That's compared with the original 67's

Compared with the former 67x, I think the grip is the same, but maybe the loss of grip due to the temperature is a bit more gradual. Maybe Chris (who did the physics) could confirm it or not...

hehe, actually I felt the same... It's sad to discover that the improvement wasn't mine but probably of the tyres :)

Yes, i'm sure i'm not getting faster. I got going so fast at Nurburgring that I got sick to my stomach. I never got that before. The cars sure have a lot of grip at the speeds we do at the ring.

I was a starter in this Funliga romp along with five others.  Seemed to go off just fine.  The ultimate handling seems somewhat different from the original Papy physics but nothing I couldn't adapt to over a short period of time.

Marcos, I do really would like to try this MOD but as the original 1967x I installed is working fine, I am very scared to install this one and ruin everything .. So, I ask: this MOD only replaces the 6th carset or all the 67x MOD? When you say "do not replace", if the installation ask this what should I do? Thank you for your help. Saludos!

Oi Ernesto!

The single files this install will ask you to replace are graphical layouts within GPL.  And actually they will be replaced by the same files they are replacing, so no changes will be involved.

Os únicos arquivos que seran reemplazados sao gráficos dos menus do GPL. E na verdade serao reemplazadas pelos mesmos arquivos, assim que nao mudara nada se coloca aceitar ou nao aceitar :)

Um abraço, Marcos

I was hesitant to do it too. It actually went pretty easy and works fine. I now have three versions for the 67 F1 cars. Pappy, HistoricalV2, and this new online version that I only use offline. Pretty cool.

All I did for the physics was copy/paste the physics set from carset 7 and replace the P126 with the P261 from carset 6 to make the new set of physics GPL67X. Then I replaced the slipstream values with the same as the 69-Extra mod (because of the request) into the same physics. I am certain I didn't touch the tyre model.

How much more grip does carset 7 have over early carsets if any? I know the cars got lighter and more HP as the season moves along but does their grip change too?

Hi Marcos,
Once again I thank you & the team for this mod, excellent stuff :)

I have noticed a couple of things whilst I have been checking the mod out

Eagle T1F: in the mirrors there is an blue-ish outline around the exhaust.
Lotus33BRM: the rev counter is approx 1000revs out in rotation. It needs turning clockwise.

I use gplshift to adjust my 'seat' position but in the 67x mod I can't use the shift/ctrl+arrows to move the seat like I do in all other mods (except 67hist V2 where I also cannot adjust seat position).
Is this something mod related or gplshift do you think?
I can still adjust my seat in other mods.

cheers,
roo

Yes Roo same problem here with the seat position (58 FOV) no mirrors...
But imo this is not this mod but it's base mod historic V2. for the original 67 I use GPLSA

Ferrari 312 the rev counter is approx 1000revs out in rotation too, but It needs turning anticlockwise.

Hi Roo and Axel.

I really don't know how to fix the seat position and rev counters... Maybe Chris could solve those things.

I'll fix the exhaust when have some time.

Cheers. Marcos

I am almost certain that the grip level doesn't change between carsets. I think it would have been too difficult to model what tyre advances there were (if any) during the 67 season.
