I don't even know how you would go about negotiating La Source or Station hairpin driving like that! Guesswork?

Skill and judgement.  ;)

Seriously though, what I'm trying to say is you will never reproduce the view from real life on a PC monitor. It is not possible to feel like you have a cockpit wrapped around you, which is what Ivo seems to want.

I drove GPL for about a year before I even realised that it was possible to change the FOV!  I have not tried different settings as I feel it would mean learning to drive all over again.  I think there is no 'right' or 'wrong' setting, it is simply whatever you are used to.  Much the same applies to such things as force-feedback wheel settings, rotation values, steering ratios, etc.

It would. They dont have a mirror in the air and live telemetry

But real drivers can turn their heads and look in their real mirrors!! But they do need to turn their heads, they wouldn't see them looking straight ahead.

They'd see a car darting in and out of their mirrors even when looking straight ahead.
IMO both mirrors ought to be visible whatever FOV you use.
Then again, I ám a total nerd :P

No matter, how the PoV goes. Even the Ken's shows, that the panel of body is not slightly tapering to turn the hole in top as narrow as drivers shoulders. Or at least I don't have the impression from its appearance, contrary to e.g. cockpit of BRM P261. I'm very sorry, that I cannot decribe my feelings better. :(

Yes, basically you can't see any of the outside of the cockpit on the Eagle. Maybe it is the construction of the 3do, I think all versions are like that??

Does anyone still have this update as the download site no longer seems to be active?
