Fixing Buggy Tracks
Posted Apr 21 2016 - 08:31 AM
I did a hotlap competition in Paul Ricard (http://freeleo.hu/we...&race=201604272) and put that track with the 1967x mod in the Mybroga Server, at VROC (or ip 126.96.36.199:32766) without password
Be careful of using the patched .trk file provided by Lou Magyar some posts above. You should only drop that file in your /tracks/ricard folder
Please, try to do some laps online in order to test this track, and report any freeze here (or by PM to me). Also if you could drive without problems (which would be great!!)

Another track with reported problems is Thruxton. I think it maybe has a similar problem than Paul Ricard and Sarthe...
Thanks again, Marcos.

"We" also raced effex that time and I'm pretty sure that I have read about freezes in that track.
Reading in the first page of the thread, however, I found that Sepang or Montjuic are considered as "risky". We raced both several times and freezes were not a problem (maybe some isolated freeze, but nothing massive).

Thx for the feedback.
We were running Nivelles with default 36 FPS.
About Efexx we have noted:
And for Montjuic:
-> seems to work fine with stronger modern PCs, so limegreen colour = "fixed" / "behoben" status for modern PCs
GPLRACER GPL Track Blacklist
The "funny" thing with risky tracks is that freezes, CTDs, .... do not always happen.
It depends on the mod you use, the number of drivers, if someone crashes at a certain place of the track and so on.
There are so many factors that influence a lightly bad programmed track.
The worst programmed track we had so far is Mallory Park:
Ginetto + team has started in 2017 to rebuild Mallory Park. I have just aksed whats left to do to call it "final".
