Hi everybody,

I would like to have some help regarding connection problems. I participate in some GPL Brasil races but I frequently loose the connection during the races. I am located in Europe (Portugal). I noticed in my IGOR main panel that the ping value for this server, in the "Ping" column, is very different when compared with the values of the other servers (see screenshot attached). It's 9999. Is this normal? Could this number be related with the connection problems that I experience with this server? If yes, is there anything that can be done?

Thank you very much, everybody.

Pedro
the ping 9999 of a server means that the hoster has not allowed pinging the server, so the ping is switched off.

The value of the others shown in Joaos pic show a bad ping and a not so good....

A good ping is under 100 but a ping over 200-250 is undriveable and dangerous for all driving.

Axel, thank you very much for the explanation.

So, I understand that if my IGOR panel shows consistently a ping over 200-250 with a server, it is not good idea to race in it. But is this something that I could control somehow (changing the internet provider for my home, for instance) or is something out of my control?

Thanks again.
Pedro

@ Pedro

of course the own provider has to be reliable,
but if you cross an ocean it is not possible to influence the route your signal goes.

@Joao

dont check this when  you host
