Unable to connect to no grip too, on my browser.

I tried this https://archive.org/index.php
To maybe get a contact, for the site,so we could find out whats going on.
But it seems to be confusing,to me 🤔 when putting in HTTPS://nogripracing.com
Nothing seems to come up.
Maybe some of you can try and have more success?

I sincerely hope and pray, that nogrip as not gone. Just the same way as Black hole Motorsports did.

Is it another nail, in the coffin, for pc gaming and simracing. Favouring more, console gaming and the rise in online gaming, for those type of game machines?

TP 🤔😁

To elaborate, GPL was originally intended for a spring or summer '99 release, but Sierra insisted it be released in time for Christmas '98.  So it was rushed out as it existed in September '98 and what you got was essentially a late stage beta, minus the proposed career mode, weather options, etc. (hence the unpolished trainers, no rain at Mosport, some setup anomalies).  And so it acquired the reputation for an extremely steep learning curve and, for its day, steep system requirements;  becoming a classic "niche" game, and selling poorly compared to contemporary sims.  Nascar Racing 4 was, for all practical purposes, a "proof of concept" project;  Papyrus knew they had a good physics/tire engine with good graphics capability, and a Nascar sim would attract more interest than historic F1, thus NR4 was born.  The next step was a dedicated Nascar sim based on what they had learned from GPL/NR4, but built from scratch.  So NR4 remains a standalone sim, with no direct relation to the N1/2/3 series nor the NR2002/2003 series, beyond being a line of work from the same team.

BTW, still getting "connection timed out" at nogrip.

I guess some of you have already found this, but for the others - there is an explanation (sort of) about nogrip at RaceDepartment forums. Doesn't sound very optimistic though.

I assume this is your reference - https://www.racedepa...om-gone.152099/

which ends with an unknown person stating nogrip's server contract expired.  If that is the case it's just a matter of them finding a new home ...unless they are out of funds.  Time will tell.

Still getting "connection timed out".

FWIW, a little snooping (Accessify and Whois sites) reveals little about nogripracing.  It changed ownership in Feb. 2014 and "public access to Nogripracing ownership data is restricted due to privacy matters";  previous owner was Eamonn O'Doherty.  Domain is registered through GoDaddy to "Registration Private Domains By Proxy, LLC" and doesn't expire til Jan 2019.  Since June 2015 they have been hosted by OVH SAS in France.

Yes, it is. I didn't post a link because I wasn't sure if it would be considered spam.

A single link pertaining to the discussion isn't spam

The nogrip Farcebook page no longer exists, but have no idea when it disappeared nor how active it had been.  (FB does not remove pages based on activity, to the  best of my knowledge they only take action for extreme TOS violations, otherwise only the page creator can delete it.)  Threads are appearing on other sim sites but no one seems to know anything.
