Hello wonderful GPL community!

I've been away from GPL for so long that I've forgotten all about any prerequisite files or runtimes that are needed for GEM+ to install properly. I've also reinstalled Windoze a couple of times since I last ran GEM+. Curently I'm on Win7 and decided to try out the newly released 55 mod but I've hit a snag in the installation of GEM+.

I get a lot of Windows\sysWOW64\..... error messages like the one I've attached. I've taken care to ensure that the required tracks are installed and verified by the installer, and I've also triple checked that the file patths for GEM+ and GPL are correctly selected.

Somewhere in my very foggy brain I seem to remember something about a package of runtimes or something like that that you had to install in order to ensure that GEM+ would work properly.

Can anyone please advice?

What happens if you choose ignore?
Or "right" click the installer and choose run as administrator.

Hi Jens :)

Welcome back!! Try running GEM´s installer as administrator, as Bernd said. I never had a problem this way with Win7 nor with Win10.

Also, check this GPL installation guide ;)

Hi Bernd,

Run as Administrator and choosing ignore sadly does not change anything. After the installer is finished there is an error message and GEM+ just hangs.

Could it be an anti-virus protecting those system files from Microsoft?

Eureeeeeeka! Bernd, You are a Genius! Total security 360 was the offender! I disabled it and the installation of GEM went without a hiccup! Thanks!
