One of my original wishes has been lost somehow.
It would really be nice to have a 5 speed in the 67F2 basic trainer. There are some tracks the 4 speed makes setups very difficult. This could also lead to more mods for GPL. There's nothing wrong with little formula cars. They are great fun.

GPL has always been, and I suspect will continue to be for the foreseeable future, my benchmark that all other racing sims are measured against. It has proven to be over the last 20 years, the most difficult, challenging and rewarding driving experience I've ever encountered outside of a real vehicle.

Espcially when you are doing a movie using replays.
Atm you have to do live capturing to see the drivers arm move, which takes way more PC ressources than using a replay and you should get the capturing spot on if you do not want to drive the same track section over and over again. :o :rolleyes:  Capturing GPL produces several gigabyte on your hard drive. So, capturing the same thing over and over again LIVE sums easily up to 20 GB within nothing.

Lee, is there any chance to change that?
I guess this is deeply coded in the GPL exe.

I too would like to see the shifting code better understood. The full 67 F2 and the lower powered AT sometimes feel like shifter carts on small tracks with long straights. A five speed BT would be perfect. And then we could have a shifter cart mod :)

I don't think that this one has been mentioned as yet but here's a fix I'd like to see.

An end to the freekin' join and leave lag for on-line races.  It's a damnable, horrid curse!

You are right Doni,
this has to do with the problematic text rendering of OpenGL...

Maybe we can find a programmer who is able to devellop Nigel Pattinsons V2 rasterizer further to a modern level.

Afair we had brr working in such a direction, but he disappeared...

Better online code so we get less freezes and other online problems.

Also the ability to have more than 19 players online would be great.

Yeah, afaik NR2003 has the same basic engine as GPL but way better online conditions...

If we could transplant those...
