Dunlop bridge seen from Creek . Can it help ?

Creek corner saw two crashes in 1967 . Leo geogeghan Lotus 39 and Spencer Martin Brabham

at least, there are the wood barrier shape for the track surroundings.

Thanks for those, looks like the entry to Creek Corner might be downhill... will study the videos again!

It's great to have some colour images too, most of the video and photos are B&W. Not sure if the armco is actually green though, the whole photo looks like it might be a bit green heavy? However they look like fairly new barriers, so maybe the silver is reflecting the green trees and surroundings. Or maybe they're just painted green :D

Thanks for the info, it all helps

The grade, from the start of Hume Straight to Dunlop Bridge, was very slight.
From the bridge to the corner itself there was a tad more. But Don't go overboard on the gradient....better to err on the side of subtlety.

They were....but not a bright or gloss green. Rather dull and faded by the end of the circuit's life.

Creek was my favourite location - always good for some action - and I was there the day that this photo was taken.
Not happy to see Leo's lovely car damaged.

Thanks Bruce and M Needforspeed, all the information I've found so far of that part of the circuit is B&W so I probably would have got that wrong!

At the moment I've got the circuit fairly flat, I've put some definite bumps where the circuit crosses the horse racing track because there's a great shot of Jack going over the Northern Crossing at 16m48s:

https://www.youtube....h?v=XNfq310iOTI

I'm guessing the circuit had to be dipped a little in order to put some kind of soft surface for the horses to cross the track? There are definitely some small undulations visible on other parts of the track in the videos, getting them in the right places is going to be a challenge!

Thanks for the links to the videos, I've done a fairly comprehensive trawl of Youtube but I've still got to go through theroaringseason.com and the autosport forums for images of Pukekohe and Warwick Farm... hopefully will find some good stuff like I did for Teretonga. Will also search any info I can find on horse racing at these two venues, it'll probably give me some different views of the motor racing circuits and maybe show some things not picked up otherwise :)

Edit: Just stumbled across this: http://www.automotob...tion-reprint-1/

Don't know if it's of interest to anyone here, I've ordered one and will let you know what's in it... it'll take a while to arrive as I'm on the other side of the world.

Longford: Received a book about the track (Barry Green: Longford, Fast Track Back) but not really thinking too much about this one yet. However, if someone wants to send me the build files the Tasman team started it would be great to start familiarising myself.

Did you geht the build files already?

Not yet, I'll send Rob a PM when I've got my tracks in better shape and get some feedback from him once he's driven them. Maybe that'll jog his memory and he'll dig out his info and we can compare notes :)

I really shouldn't be thinking about Longford yet anyway, lots to do with the other 3 tracks plus the 2 alternative layouts.

Perfect, I also have a beta version (I think it is also including the build files) but Rob`s version might be more up-to-date and I am sure he can help you much better. In case you ever need someone to beta test drive it just PM me. :)

Thx a lot for working on those tracks!

Edit: I don`t know if you have done already. But you could ask Ginetto if you can use files of his Surfers Paradise 1968 track:
http://gpltd.bcsims.com/?sbtd=surferpa
Trees, wooden barrier, ...

Surfers Paradise 1968 - Promotion - Grand Prix Legends [HD]
https://www.youtube....h?v=VdMi03o-4kw

Btw in case you need a promotion movie for one of those tracks in the future .... I would do so. :)

Thanks Stefan, a promo movie would be great assuming I get that far...

Ginetto's advice on the initial build of Teretonga was invaluable, when I've got the tracks a bit further I'll send them to him again to get his impressions. Textures aren't really a problem, I've been working as a 3D computer artist for the last 25 years so I can make them pretty quickly, hopefully will increase the amount of mips and 3DOs available for other track builders to use if they want to.

Fat Rich are you familiar with this site http://www.sergent.c...or/tasman.html. Not much in terms of pictures but at least 3 or 4 for each year per track. Maybe some you haven't seen yet.
