No problem in game with FPS, always on 60 and only at start 40 circa,I use openGL
The problem are the notifications in red message in online (example when anyone enter or leave the server) In that moments and as long the message remains, the FPS fall down and no possible to drive for 2/3/4 seconds..

It's possible to eliminate that notifications from screen? thanks

I don't think it's possible. Others would know better than me. Alt+M turns off the internet meters. That will help. And Zolder at 60fps is a demanding track on the computer. Things should improve on other tracks.

Lalethor does Pribluda show tire temperatures? If yes deactivate it in the prilbuda.ini. It also saves FPS.

Well, interesting that you brought this up.  You must have read my mind.

First off, I wonder if any others have this problem of a FPS drop when any message is displayed.  I think that there must me many.

For me the drop is pretty severe and worse the longer the message.

I did some tests with a 40 character message and found that my fps dropped from 36 to 11 or 60 to 14.

As you can imagine that’s pretty devastating if you’re going through a corner.

I did some quick tests and I find that if you disable Antialiasing, the effect is much less.  It goes from
36 to 29 or 60 to 34 which is much more manageable and probably not noticeable.

I also tested with and without Vsync, and Anisotropic Filtering with the same poor results.

Instead of disabling the AA, I tried the lowest setting (2x) and the result was 36 to 27 or 60 to 27.

I drive without all of those, mostly for FPS, so e.g. at Reims the lines will blur into the distance, but the higher FPS is more valuable :).

Usually I turn off some of the middle pribluda screens (F5/F6), but also sometimes that causes a big graphics stutter so in that case, turn them back on to get rid of it!

No sure Pribdula is the problem, and maybe no AA also
I turn off various pribdula's informations in varius races but with no solutions
The FPS's problem is only for time necessary for red message of chat, I will try again next time online

Ouch..! :o
I'll try to unpatched me too (but I sincerely hope that's not the very problem, I like to drive with shift gear manually, not with sequential stick or buttons..)

I also suspect the OS is involved.

With my old XP I have no frame drops, not in 36 or 60fps (only 3 or 4)
With my new W10 I can't even drive the 60fps (about 34),
or Targa at 36fps (29).

No clue what to do, only waiting for things to get better.
I am just the driver not the mechanic ;)

in GPL options, can't you just turn off chat?

Pedro... what video card do you have?
i have w10 and it took quite a lot of turning this on/that off till i got decent FPS.
mostly 60 except at some places, on some tracks it drops briefly... 1 or 2 seconds, but only to low 50s

Does this FPS drop also happen if you use D3Dv2?

Sorry, I do not race online.  But, I have massive frame hits when viewing the reduced screen from the selection page with the AI, when the newspaper spins after a race and when leaving G.P.L. and the credits scroll very, very choppy.  When I switch to D3Dv2 these issues go away.... but there are the D3Dv2 other problems when driving.

that's it Ginetto!  :)
in enlish it says' "turn off in car chat" .. so when you are driving, you don't see chat comments.
whether that stops them from having a FPS hit or not, i don't know ~
