Hello,

Here's my .psd template to allow everyone to create new wheels for themselves or just use one that looks better than the original. I have included 4 replacement wheel textures, a thorough readme.txt, and a preview for each default team wheel ready to be dropped in to your game. The template also allows you to very easily create your own wheel by simply clicking the layers you want to see  .

Download it here

Sample preview:

The complete readme:

Steering Wheel Template for RedLine GTP Mod for Nascar Racing 2003 Season
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What's included?
- Template is in .psd format for ease of editing separate layers
- Includes wheel schemes for each of the 4 manufacturers in .mip format
- Includes images of my default wheel schemes

Installation:
--------------
- Make a backup of your original files (steerint0-3.mip, and steerint0-3_s.mip) before copying over my files.
- Drop the files in the "series\RDgtp" folder. Example "C:\Users\Me\Saved Games\Papyrus\NR2003\series\RDgtp".

Template usage:
---------------------
- The template is a Photoshop file containing layers for each category and different kinds of wheels. Upon
customizing to your desire, Save As bitmap format (.bmp).
- Do NOT overwrite .psd template unless you know what you're doing.
- I suggest keeping any new images/text/editing to be kept in the range of the ones I created, as the mapping
may distort things in the game.

Bitmap to .Mip (and into the game):
----------------------------------------------
- To convert the Bitmap file into a .Mip file (and thus install in your game), I highly recommend using
WinMip2. A quick search on the internet will help you find it. If it gives a warning for missing .dll file,
simply do a search for such file and place it in the WinMip2 folder.
- With WinMip2 open, click on Open, then locate the Bitmap. When the mini window opens, on the top right of
the image there will be a little box saying "bmp". Click there and select "mip". Now Save As.
- Once you have converted the files you desire, drop them into the series\RDgtp or gtn folder.

Remember to always make backups of any files you intend on altering/overwriting. I hope you enjoy this as I
stayed up all night creating these from scratch (thanks to websites with vector logos and to a photo I found
of a wheel too, but I did a lot of clone stamping to get it to look good). If distributing this, please make sure
the readme.txt is kept in the files.

Thank you Gui
Thats fu....ng great.
Just downloaded it.
And thanks for publishing the template too. Im probably gonna make a complete customized wheel for this old game.

At the moment Im confronted with GTR2 to be able to compete in a danish 24H LAN event. Compared to lovely GTP GTR2 really sucks(IMO:-)
In GTP I feel Im driving. In GTR2 Im sailing:-(

No I wont see you at FSB;-)

The template downloads fine.  The other link does nothing, not even a "404" error.

Right click and "open in new tab" gets:

Sorry, the file you requested is not available.

Possible reasons include:

- File date limit has expired.
- File was not successfully uploaded.

It is not possible to restore the file. Please contact the uploader and ask them to upload the file again.

....................

Too bad.  Gui hasn't been here since posting this.

Just checked, the mips are in the template file.

Hey, here's a new link. I lost everything sendspace! I am actually working on making new wheels but I seem to have gone "stupid" and can't get winmip to convert my bitmaps. When I get that sorted I will upload an updated file with an updated step-by-step guide too :).

Edit: I figured out how to do things again, this has been updated and uploaded :D

Don't mean to bump but I am quoting this post just in case the person is still looking for these, in hopes of an alert or something popping up.
