Many years ago when I raced GPL I had a track that I loved racing on. Now that I have gotten back into GPL , I am trying to find it. I will try to describe the best I can.

Road course such as spa and nurb.

Many twist/turns

If I remember correctly, you wound up at the top of a mountain.

It is not Mt. Panorama(Bathurst), St. Jovite, or Clermont Ferrand

Sorry, that is the best I can remember.

Any ideas?

Thanks

SM

Schottenring? The mountain part made me think of Bathurst straight away.. but there must be another track that fits that description. Maybe something out of the box like Bottomless Lakes?

Edit: Depending on how long ago, maybe Targa Florio? It might be best just to go through the track database until you see something that jogs your memory! Maybe search by track length?

Scott, when you say "you wound up at the top of a mountain", was it a normal lapping track, or was it one of the rally-style single stages? If it was a single stage, maybe you're thinking of something like Corsica or Jasper? Was it a real-life track, or fantasy?

Try going to the GPL Alternative Track Database (http://gpltd.bcsims.com/), using the advanced search, and setting the track type to "rally". That should show you all the tracks of that type.

Another tip - when you're looking through the track database, there's a picture at the bottom-right of each entry which shows how flat/hilly/mountainous the track is. Maybe that will help you find the one you want?

If it was a normal lapping track, maybe it was something like Harz? I hope you find it!

It was a lapping track. I believe the start/finish was at the top of the mountain. I have been through both track databases but nothing rings a bell yet. I am sure if I read/hear the name it will come to me. It was very hard to drive on. Had a lot of switchbacks.

How far back?
Maybe check by searching ATD by track creators from the era?
Clermont-Ferrand maybe?

I would say maybe 5 or 6 years back.  I don't remember yesterday so that question was a challenge.

I have Clermont Ferrand,

Thanks

Wow. I feel kind of stupid..... I was all over it and didn't know it. It actually was Clermont Ferrand 1970. I have the Charade 1998 version which Is why I said it wasn't C-F.

Thanks to everyone who answered...
