Once again this prolific track maker has released another great track for us.
Somehow he has a knack for making these enjoyable tracks.

Sergio won't be around this weekend but wanted to make sure that we are able to enjoy  his new track this weekend ;)  B)

I remember working on this with Neri, years ago.. I had also asked John to make me a recreation of the real 1960 Porto cover, at the time..with a realy horrendeous scan of the real thing.

Here's his final work, true BAPOM style, if you guys want a real cover:

The track IS a blast to drive.  I love that cobbled street, and the first laps, I kept running over people on the first straight!  :P

The esses are a nice and fast combination, and the track is forgiving, IMO

From Autosport

"Portuguese authorities have confirmed that a modified version of the famous Porto GP circuit, last used as the host of the country's grand prix in 1960, will be used next year for an historic revival meeting."

I notice the new thread announcing three new Behra tracks has been moved out of this forum. I'm puzzles as to why that was done, or alternatively why this one hasn't been moved too ?

Just been reading the same thing in Motorsport.
They also mention the recent revival of another Portuguese circuit, Vila Real.

There's even a group of enthusiasts trying very hard to get Reims up and running again! :)
If they can overcome the plans to build an industrial estate on it!! :(

It was moved to the track database. You'll notice if you click on the link at the top of this thread it leads you to the track database thread for Porto. You'll see there is another thread here in discussion anouncing the Jean Behra tracks with a link to the database just like this thread. In the future when you need to find a track you'll see it all makes sense. ;)
