im not sure when this started but at least twice every lap i get a screen flicker that in its self isnt so much of a problem for me

the problem is that every now in then when the screen flickers it will activate one of my wheel functions ie look left/right

even worse  when it activates a gear shift either up or down  i have updated my drivers both grafix card and wheel that made no difference

speaking of the wheel sometimes when i need to shift up or down gear using the flappy paddles it will not change gear unless i turn my wheel (it works in the thrustmaster setup panel 100% of the time so im tipping its gpl gem or something else)

when your on a straight in a pack thats just not  going to happen unless you let everyone go or take out a few cars

my sys is intel  i7 8700 @ 3.70GHz  16GB ram  Asus 1070gtx  Asus pq27q monitor running win 10 64bit  with t300 steering wheel

This sounds like some other non-GPL process running in the back ground. First, before you run GPL, open the Task manager > Details tab, and make sure there is nothing that might run, like any kind of updater. Also, make sure that your virus checker will not run unexpectedly.

thx Marco looks like im not the only one with this problem

everyone seemed to have different results with the fixes

the only one that seemed to work was to open up the wheel then operate on the wheel

i don't have the confidence  to do that kind of operation

but on the other hand i looked into Bobs solution i did look at the task manager turned off some process that didn't make any difference

so i then used enditall and made sure my av was setup for do not disturb gem gpl and mod exe's (which it was)  after 7-8 laps there was some flickering  in the first two laps but none after that

will have to do more laps just to make sure that problem is fixed

Have you tried using a keyboard or gamepad instead of the wheel? Because if you would still get the flickering you know it's not the T300.

I think you may have to open her up. There are plenty of how to tutorials on you tube to help you. I've opened up my G27 several times and it wasn't too complicated.
I had to change a gear and also do some soldering on some connections that had come loose and it's still functioning properly. Hope you get it working again. Found this but it may not be the problem with your wheel.   https://youtu.be/jzjxThaEZ6w
