Just a question resulting from my own stupidity, after about half of a 3 hour race I made a pitstop for fuel, I overshot the pit stall and tried to back up but the crew just packed up and went inside, I tried to do another lap and come back around but ran out of fuel and retired.

Is it possible to back up in the pits and get the job done

Maybe I should stop with 3 laps of fuel left to get a couple of shots at it as it's not the first time it has happened.

No, the pit crew in GTR2 are extremely fussy about overshooting the pit stall. If you do it, they just ignore you for that lap. It’s a good idea to have some extra laps of fuel if you have to do another try but it’s even better to practice before the race so you can stop in the right place.

Thanks Tharnvi. I could practice 1000 times but when it matters I'll stuff it up again

Reversing in the pitlane is against the current rules.  Not sure what was allowed back in the 60s/70s but the rules are hardcoded I'm afraid.  You could always turn auto-pit on, it will save frustration but will reduce the fun too.

Good point about it being against the rules, I think they used to smoke in the pits in the 60's so surely I can reverse a few feet

I always hated auto-pit, I would rather be frustrated or perhaps practice my pitstops
