Hi guys,

After a long downtime, I thought it would be nice to have the GPLEA site back up again. So, I've aquired some web space to put it up again, and here it is:

http://www.grandprix...ds.co.nf/GPLEA/

I salvaged the pages from the Internet Archive Wayback Machine: http://archive.org/web/

The links mostly point to threads and files here at the SRMZ. The web space bandwidth is very limited, and also, it isn't possible to upload actual files (zip, exe etc.) to it, which is why I linked to files available here. A direct link would be tidier, but as I said the web space doesn't enable that. If you'd like to host the files so I can put a direct link on them, send me a PM.

I have been unable to find the program GPLAIM anywhere. Perhaps someone here has it. If you do, it would be nice to post it so I can fix the links to GPLAIM at the page.

If anyone objects to having this site up again, let me know and I'll take it offline again.

I hope to do the same with the Mod webpages that have gone missing (1965, 1966, 1969).

Tommie.

Ah, found GPLCSM / AIM2 here:

http://srmz.net/tools/GPLCSM.zip

From the original thread: http://srmz.net/inde...c=500&hl=gplcsm

Seems to work but I'll look at it some more later.

why would anyone object having this site back up (if they do i'll like to have a little word in their ear in a dark ally)

besides there can never be enough gpl content on the interwebs

back in the day this was one of my goto pages for all things gpl

it's good to have the GPLEA site back up again

I don't know, however the GPLEA wrote on their site that nothing could be copied without the consent of the GPLEA. As it has been offline for so long, I thought it would be okay to reupload it, but it's still not a site I made, so I would like to make sure I respect the original creators :) .

This was THE site for GPL in early days.

Thanks Tommie for resurrecting it.

Hi Tommie and thanks for what you have done!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: Any chance of looking at other sites or is it just GPLEA you can resurrect. I was thinking on the lines of Black hole motor sports. If I remember as well Race simulations or something like that.

Thanks-TP

I wish it was as active as it was back in the day! It was what steered me to GPL.

Yeah, I was always waiting for the next GPLEA car to come out. I'd always show up at VROC with the latest updated car. :D

I don't think I can resurrect Black Hole Motorsports or Mad 4 Driving as they'd be too big. However I intend to reinstate the mod websites that have gone lost at least, like 1965, 1966 and 1969. Were there more important sites that have gone lost?

I still have the 65 mod site.  I'll see if I can put it back up.
