Hi all.

I've been searching around for GTP tracks and seen various posts (all of them old) on other sites that mention a large track pack containing loads of GTP tracks. I've made a fairly lengthy search but can't find it anywhere.

Also, there was a zip containing information about how to convert any NR2003 track to use in the GTP mod.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of either of these files I'll be eternally grateful (honestly)!  :)

Many thanks for any help and keep on simming,

L49  ;)

To get a track to load in GTP, all that is needed are the fast setup files for each of the 4 makes.
fast.gtp.jag
fast.gtp.maz
fast.gtp.sau
fast.gtp.toy
(There is also a < fast.gtp.sim >, but it is not required to get the track to load, nor have I found it to have any effect when it is present )

Adding those setups will allow you (and the ai) to get on the track. However, that alone will not necessarily get you a fun race experience. You will need to add two sections to the track.ini, <[ track_gtp ] > ( which controls the surface grip and tire heat/wear levels for the player and ai ) and < [ ai_track_gtp ] > ( which fine tunes the ai ). Without these sections, the ai will use the cup settings, which inhibit the aero/grip qualities of gtp cars. If you have to add these sections, I would try to copy them from a similar type track. There are varying interpretations of these sections, so you might try a few until you find one you like. You're not stuck with what's available, you can always make your own adjustments.  make_ai_adjustments can give you some direction.

Tracks:
The TracksGTP single download was over 1000MB. I don't think it's currently available. (picture shows the tracks from that download)
Most, if not all, are probably still available. Google search & http://www.nr2k3trac...n2k3tracks.html is a good place to start.

Of course, that list is not conclusive. New tracks are still coming out, some of which are available right here. Nascar Racing Files

Thaks a lot, fortine_oo, that's really helpful, particularly your list of GTP tracks.

I'll have a tinker with those I cannot find as GTP-specific tracks (Nordschleife being the most desired) and see if I can get them to work.

Many thanks,

Lotus49  :D

Hi :)

I have a package of about 250 NR2003 roadcourses, GTP ready. I will start uploading them here this next weekend. They include the GTP setups into each folder and, in most cases, some modifications to the track.ini files, specific for GTP mod, thanks to Achim Trenz and TeamRedline suggestions.

No problem at all guys.

I was thinking about uploading the tracks in alphabetical order, but perhaps you would want other tracks uploaded first. So if you have any preferences, let me know asap :)

Hey Arturo. The upload is a great idea.
But you could start to publish a list of the tracks. So we could decide which of the tracks to look for:-)

Alphabetical is fine, Arturo: nice and orderly and we can work through them  as they are posted  :D

You'll become a one-man GTP track database!

Please find attached the track files needed, including readme.txt's, plus a link to get a ton of tracks (including non-GTP tracks I added the missing files) here: https://mega.co.nz/#...cLgQHg(NR2003 GTP Tracks)
