Low Fps On Obs When Trying To Capture Gpl But The Game Runs Just Fine For Me

20 Jun 2019

Posted by EmperorOfFinland in GPL-"Help! I'm having trouble with..."
So i have been working with OBS trying it to give me smooth picture quality, but when i try to capture it. it just gives me low fps on the preview and on stream and keeps missing frames but does not show that it misses them and also flickers on pits.

The game itself runs just fine at 36fps but it does not capture itself properly. now since im running win7 it disables aero when i start GPL so i was thinking could that be causing it.

Gpl Flagmen (Jackseller) Updated By Paul Skingley (Brown/ White)

GPL Flagmen (Jackseller) updated by Paul Skingley

These flagmen were originally created by Jackseller in 2013:
http://srmz.net/inde...?showtopic=9676

As the orange suits looked too modern for Paul Skingley`s taste he changed them to:
  • BROWN Marshall suits
  • WHITE Marshall suits
Quote Paul Skingley:
"All credit to Jackseller. I just changed the colours. Jack's chequered flagger is unchanged."

Installation: Make a backup of your objs (objects) folder (...\SIERRA\gpl\objs) and copy your choice from the BROWN or WHITE archive attached.

Thx Paul for giving me permission to release and host your files. :)

Advice On New Screen ?

19 Jun 2019

Hi all

I have been using for GPL my 24" Asus flat screen monitor.

It's now time for a change. The Asus is excellent but will be relegated to general desktop PC duties.

My question is a simple one.

Would most of you choose a large flat screen for GPL or a large CURVED screen.

Or finally a triple screen setup.

Only other thing my imagination thought might be different is a curved centre screen with 2 flat screens either side.

All ideas and experience of various screen setups would be very interesting.

Thanks in advance. Paul

Can't Access New Aaiom Circuit In My Track List

19 Jun 2019

Like everyone else, I downloaded the AAIOM circuit and Options package last week, ran the installer as instructed, and copied the Options folder into the AAIOM folder under Tracks. But when I went to find it in the game, it did not show up in the list of tracks available for Training or Single Race.

Last year, the PC I'd been using for several years gave up the ghost, but the hard drive I'd been using was still fundtioning. A friend built a new gaming computer for me from components I had and he contributed, and he installed both a new hard drive (C:) and the old one (E:) linked so that I could move files from one to the other. The operating system he installed is Windows 10.

I was delighted to discover that when I copied my old Sierra folder from the old hard drive to the new, faster one, I could run the various application (65, 66, 67, 69) files and play the game with my old settings still in place. Unfortunately, when I tried copying the GPLSecrets folder to the C drive and tried to run the GEMP2 application file so that I could assign the AAIOM track for use with the various mods, I got an error message about a missing file and assume that GEM has no idea how to find the Sierra/GPL folders/files that I copied from E to C.

Is there any way to manually make text changes to a file or files under GPL so that my mods "see" the AAIOM circuit. If not, what do I need to do? Can I re-install GEM+ and "point" it to the current location of my GPL game files, or will I have to start from scratch with a completely fresh installation of game, mods, and tracks?

Thanks in advice for the solution/advice, no matter how painful.
