Good to see that the track maker really nailed the chicane.

Is it possible to apply a new track file to old track?
Is that what Monocane is?
Just wondering...

The Monaco that comes with the Installer is incredible btw just noticed once again.

What an amazing video for 1962. It looks like it could have been made today. I'm not old but did I say this before? Maybe a little old. Ok, freaking old!

So, what the deal with the chicane? Was it tightened up some by 67? It shows it more open than in most videos but that was 62. Still not  Papy version open but less than Monacane.

John..............I've made my own imaginary chicane. I don't feel Monacane is right and neither is the Papy version.

What I do is use the Papy version, but instead of going through it flat out in 5th I gear down to 4th. I don't brake, but just get off the throttle and gear down. It's just enough to slow me down to a more reasonable speed through the chicane. I don't know how to make the AI to do the same, so I just deal with it. It can be a problem if an AI is right behind me coming out of the tunnel. Sometimes i'll let them pass me to avoid a crash.

That's what I use, appreciating the challenge of the chicane flatout.
Would agree the Papy version is closer to the way it was in '62.

Notice in '67 the barrier added on the left at entry over the sidewalk?
Not there in '62.
It doesn't change the line but does obscure the view, perhaps making it appear a tighter turn?
Or one which you better know what's on the other side.

Really don't think the driving line changed that much.
Cars got faster or slower off-line cars let off later is my guess about why anyone was braking.
One announcer mentioned, "flick the wrist" to get thru the chicane.
He didn't say, "touch the brakes" or "just let off."
