Working fine here. I'm sure as hell that Bill does all he can do to protect the servers and us. Remember, he's doing it for free.

When you google srmz and select Portal SRMZ you get redirected to another site.
I never use google to start SRMZ but rather my favorites list.
This prevents those kind of hacks and you are at least certain you get what you opted for ;)

Dario, when you get to the SRMZ home page, why don't you just save it as a bookmark or favourite in your browser? Then you will never have to worry about being misdirected ever again.

Hi Bernd, thank you for pointing this out.

For EVERYONES notice, if you dig deeper you will see that Bill not only does it for free, but supports the rest of us to the tune of thousands of dollars per year.

Come on people, go to the SRMZ home page and contribute.  YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE

and shows your gratitude to Bill

:thankyou:   BILL :partytime:

yea, also may i suggest you click the "view new content" and bookmark the page that comes after or just use this link

http://srmz.net/inde...earch&do=active

and in case you frequent the gplr as well, use this one for that
http://gplr.srmz.net...earch&do=active

those are links to the active recent threads. that is what i use to get the latest at a glance.

i agree with these 'linking' suggestions sky, but unfortunately, one then passes by the 'reminder' for donations, so it is best to set up a self-reminding donating schedule and try to stick to it.  Dropping back to "Member" can be embarrassing to oneself !

Firefox with the  "no script" addon makes sure you don't get maliciously infected and stops a whole bunch of crud popping up. Only allow trusted sites you believe are ok or can be trusted.

Edit: First time i used google just now sent me to a dodgy site but subsequent times sends me to the proper site. Looks like they may be sorting out.............

Today I clicked on a link in my email to return to a thread I was following here and instead was taken to an ad ring.  Closed that tab and tried again, no problems.  (Using Firefox with NoScript, AdBlock, and DNT.)

When I tried to register last week, it seemed I still had an account here. Then I asked for resending password, but I never got a mail (gmail). Then I made a new account, and again I didn't get a mail (provider) for validation.

Finally I checked my gmail account on the webmail, and I found a mail in the spam folder, could log in with my initial account and happily was able to download stuff.

So for some new users it could prove difficult to join. Prolly a known "issue", as I found out more ppl having these problems through googling. The problem is that validation mails, or resending pw etc. will get in the spam folder, or not even that concerning my own provider.

Especially for ppl who don't use webmail joining here might prove difficult...just saying, again, prolly a known "issue". ;)

Cheers :)
