Ah, been waiting for this one a long time, (having driven Spirit of Speed in the ol' days and having visited the track in 2006), thanks Luna!  :hat-tip:

I'd like to help, so I created a trackinstaller for Donnington 37.
I got some historic information at internet and put on readme.txt, and I used one of the screenshots to make screenshot.bmp.

I hope it can be useful

download it at this link!

:)

ps: all credits for Luna

The track has been added to the GPLtd and, once the propagation happens, to the TotalRank.

Very nice job Richard    :hat-tip:

Even though i have little time to drive it the laps i did give me much pleasure.
Brings back the days of spirit of speed  :yinyang: Pity that one never delivered it's promise (vids where cool though)
Maybe GPL can  ;)

Are these cars part of an unreleased mod or something?

Just finished a short online test. Apart from the obvious (starter and flagmans are on holiday), we experienced gpl.exe errors/CTDs during qualy when tried to shift-R in the woods.

Would be great to see a spring/summer graphic version like at Cerne :)

I've just installed this track and given it a quick test in the '65 Lotus. It looks and drives superbly. The quality of the trees, building textures and the lighting/shadows are all excellent. Now I can understand what somebody meant when they mentioned the sunlight through the trees - those "beams" look really good without being overdone. Obviously there are a few glitches here and there which mark it as a beta, but when those are cleared up (and I hope they can be) this will be one of the best-looking tracks for GPL.

Great job!    :clap2:

Nicely done Luna.  It really captures the feel of a pre WWII race track.  And the effect of the sunlight filtering through the canopy of trees is superb.  It took me several laps to make myself stop looking at it so I could brake in time for the tight turn that follows!  :clap2:

Superb effort;  I always wanted to drive this track.  The braking zone down to the Melbourne hairpin is one of the classics of GPL.

Thanks!

What a beauty! The atmosphere just breathes "pre war". The woods, the tree-rows, just lovely. And the track itselfe is a joy to drive. If you drive slowly you surely can see it is still beta. But hey, who wants to drive slowly? For my part - I was moving around one of these marshaling towers for minutes trying to read the notes on the pinboart through the window ;)

Thank you for all your efforts.
