Is there a way to choose the TCP/IP address when I'm joining a race?  From GEM+, if I select either VROC or iGOR, I get to a multiplayer screen with a "Connection Status" dialog box.  Visible under that dialog box is a "Connect Via" pulldown menu which should allow me to select an IP address.  The selected address is a local submask(?) 10.x.x.x address, not a regular IP address.  Since the "Connection Status" dialog box has keyboard focus I don't see a way to click on the "Connect Via" menu and select a different IP address.

Is there some way, perhaps in a config file,  to specify the IP address?

Thanks

Start GPL , go to "multiplayer" menu , there you will find a box for address IP and password if needed.

I can't type in those boxes - is that data stored in a config file that I can edit?

(I'm using ubuntu 20.04 LTS linux with wine-6.1 (Staging)

That info is in the address.ini in the GPL folder in the format:

[ entry0 ]
address = 98.222.177.196 ; entry address
name = oAo   ; entry name
type = 1 ; entry type

I don't know what type = means if anything, but if you enter that into that file, it'll appear in the multiplayer menu in GPL.

Also, in that same GPL menu, you SHOULD be able to type in the address on the left (join > IP Address:), then hit Add under the address book.

If you use openGLV2 you won't see a cursor, so just click with the mouse into the box and write th IP or PW

I've had the same problem. That's because you probably have more than one network interface at Windows. In my case, i have my physical ethernet port and a virtual adapter used by windows hyper-v (needed by sandbox and WSL2). I got around by disabling this extra network interface and leaving only my physical interface on.

Since you're using Ubuntu, most likely you have more than one interface as well. Try to disable it (ifdown) before joining an iGOR server.
