I have read the complete thread and started the tutorial reading.

My idea is to make the "static" track and when it is finished, to ask for help here to make the AI. Of course I'll study the way it works, but is a question of time and there are good willing people that knows the AI making very well.

But that is not going to happen tomorrow... :asterix: In 2017 Christmas we will talk about this again :Ssanta:

I made a wire fence mip (512x128) that looks as I wanted when you are close to it, but when you're not near the fence, the wire desappears. I tried different number of sub-images but that is not the solution.
Any idea?

Are you using type 5 or type 4?

You need to create a _ti file and make it a type 5; it will have a much better merge with the distance. :)

Easiest way to reverse a GTK file? -a flat one :) -

Well, I answer myself:

I thought that a spreadsheet could be useful, but as this is a job that I`ll do once in my life, I think the better way is to put two screens of gpltrk program, one for the ini track and the second for the reverse that will be maked from zero, and then copy the values of each section, the length for straight and curvature & radius for curved sections (changing sign of both).

Wouldn't swapping orientation by 180° and changing the sign for curvature and radius do?You flip around direction of travel by the change of orientation. While the sign change takes care of left handers being right handers in reverse

I`m not sure I understand your answer.

I begin a new track (the reverse) with section 0 with the values of last section of the initial track, then section 1 with the values of last-1, section 2 with the values of last-2... As I have a 32" full HD screen it's easy to have the two tracks simultaneously, copying-pasting the values

Quico, is this a 'trk' gtk file from a previously built track, or a new track that you have the flat 'trk' already?

If the former, then you can use John Black's "Track Reverser" program and then extract the 'trk' gtk from the reversed 'trk' file.

It's a track I began 2 years ago and have the gtk and trk files, nothing else. With gplrev12, I get the message <Load error: no DPMI - Get csdpmi*b.zip> and I'm trying to solve it, but I don't know if gplrev works witk or gtk files.

Getting your elevation data for your track project was always a pain in the ass. I'Ve just found a website, that might be a big help for that problem:

http://geo.ebp.ch/gelaendeprofil/

Works like google maps or earth. Select "Autoroute" (means by car) find your track on the map. Set your starting point an set up to 10 points arround the track. Your altitute data are created in the bottom half of your screen. You can export them to a *.csv, save them in a txt-file and (not testet be me) import to excel and work with them.

Give it a try, might be very useful.

well, I got the reverse of the trk, but not of the gtk and I think there are no tools for that.

Not a big problem, I'll do by hand... :sleepy:... :sleepy1:... :zzzzz:
