So far, four episodes have come out of the new show of the ex-Top Gear hosts.
Any people here watching this? Thoughts?

Saw the first three episodes. Mixed feelings from me, as I don't think the American producer's interpretation of how a  "car show" should look like bonds well with British cast and humour. But it's Amazon's money, so that was kind of expected and I have to live with it. I don't like that there's way too much of forced "funny" scenes, in-your-face-action-features and modern supercars. I preferred the third episode, because it was more back-to-the-roots stuff, not only because of location, but also because of the script.

That being said, I'm going to keep watching, as I just thoroughly enjoy seeing these three chaps together again, and there's some silly, old-TG-style stunt action coming anyway. Besides, I remember the first season of Clarkson-era TG wasn't stellar to begin with and it took some time to balance things out. I'm sure the Grand Tour will evolve based on viewer's feedback as well.

I used to like Top Gear but felt it was getting very tired towards the end of the Clarkson era.  I rather hoped that either the BBC or Amazon (or preferably both) would come up with something new and fresh following the split.  Sadly IMO both the BBC and Amazon have stuck to the same old format, but made it worse.

Pretty much what I was thinking, although I've only watched the first episode of Grand Tour.... some of the short clips on Youtube look quite funny.

But I'd still rather watch Top Gear or Grand Tour than a lot of the "entertainment" on telly these days :grumpy:  ;) :D

Still hoping Channel 5 make another series of The Classic Car Show, the presentation style was rubbish but the content was mostly great :)
