If i remember correct, both ways are possible for clients.
1st way - use a entry in the relevant client "igor.ini" for a DNS (this was the last we have and running for years)
2nd way - use the direct IP-adress in the relevant client "igor.ini" to solve problems with DNS-servers around the world (we do this from time to time in the past years)
I use over the years both methodes as client, both running well, without any difference on my client PC and igor work as ever, without any problem.
Unlucky, i did not know what the server must do and where to get the needed files for hosting igor-racelist.
P.S.: Earlyer in this thread was reported the hoster has problems with DNS. So maybe a test (if possible) with the driect ip into the clients "iogr.ini" can work ? I am sure, clients installation of igor can handle the racelist with direct setting the server IP of the racelist host.
EDIT: Sorry, all this sounds irritating, but english is not my native language.

Thanks for your posting. Yes, we need first a running igor-racelist-server back.
I recommend highly to store the needed files and the knowledge to use it, at SRMZ or Repository or any safe place for the future.

Once the tools/info are available about racelist hosting server; is maybe possible to have more than one list entry in the igor.ini file so if one is down you still have the other one(s)?

I wish we could.
Any news of anyone who has sent mails?
(VROC now seems also to be down since yesterday.)
