Michi, IMO the blue is referring to for example the M8F 1971 CanAm car. In other years they also had black, white or just light-orange wings.

Many cars seem to follow the Merc with a very long wheelbase. Might be good on fast circuits, less so at Monaco and co. ;) I'm hoping Renault and McLaren catch up with the top 3, and also hoping the top 3 are closer (mostly Red Bull). The fact there are 3 different powerplants at the front is good. Hoping Honda will get closer as well. I really do expect Renault to have made some strides, also Honda. It's said the Renault exceeds 950BHP. Reliability will once again be the major factor for Renault, and Honda. Also hoping Ferrari have their quality control under control :P

But arguably and probably Mercedes have another winner with their new engine.

That is never the same blue, or it's too much. The blue was an accent on the old cars here it looks out of place imo. I'm sure I get used to it as long as the car is fast ;)

I always had the wings as very dark blue or chrome in my mind. Anyway, looking at the MCL33 the clutter around the radiator inlet is quite low compared to the other cars. I wonder if there is more in the pipeline or if the basic concept differs from the other cars.

So F1 had their first two days of testing just as there is a cold spell in Europe. Little snowfall yesterday and generally low temperatures have teams complaining about useless data.
Apart from the moaning Honda is working in their new chassis, Mclaren isn't lost a wheel and fried a wiring harness after the exhaust fell off. Days have been headed by the Red and Blue teams respectively.

F1 testing wrapped up for the season, seems like everything is as last year Merc Ferrari up front, Red Bull looks good too. Mclaren still not on top of their reliability, sigh.

In other news the Indianapolis cars start their season this weekend in St. Petersburg. Here is a quick summary of what has changed over the winter

This weekend in the wide world of motorsport, the IMSA sportscar circus heads to Sebring for the 12 hours, MotoGP gets underway in Qatar plus more stuff I havn't bothered to look up. I'm looking forward to the 12 hours, always like to watch the prototypes bounce around the concrete of Sebring.

Also for fan of hybrid electric racing tomorrow you can watch Formuela E race in Uruguay :D. But IMSA 12 hours in Sebring is definitely must watch :)

Formula 1 is beginning this weekend. In fact P1 is already in the books and Mercedes from RedBull and Ferrari, so nothing new there.

Mercedes look to be dominating again. Verstappen is quite close to Hamilton, though.

And rain is predicted. That'll make things interesting.

Lucky win for Ferrari. Hamilton's Mercedes was much faster. I still don't know pace of RedBull. They were stuck behind Haas and then Ricciardo looks faster than Raikkonen. I'm also curious if Haas will retain form from first race during the season.

I think Red Bull is just about with them. Luck wasn't really on their side in Australia.

Max apparently had issues with the car making it difficult to keep the pace. Besides, Albert Park has very few overtaking opportunities.
Ricciardo had its penalties and if it werent for the SC they wouldnt have come this far I think.

Haas was very unlucky because they look very strong. They'll have quiet a battle with Mclaren and Renault if it wasnt a one off like previous seasons.

The English language SuperGT stream can be found here. The Race starts at 6:40AM England time, not sure if this is still GMT with all the DST changes going on lately.
