I take note of what you day about how to manage de FB file as possibly a have big steps.

Now I found an issue with boxes, as with all cameras they look fine except with mirrors. I've tried with 3doclass but no result. Some polys desappear.

Edit:

Still not perfect, but better look, with the option Facet of the 3DSimEd before making the ASE file. It seems to need some work.

Quico :)
3DSimEd is not the best tool to make objects for GPL; unfortunately it  draws many polygons wrong.
If you want use that tool for your GPL track side objects; you should check the 3DO in GPL track editor and correct any wrong poly or plane.
I think is better if you use the simple 123do or the more complex 3DMAX and then the ase23do tool.
I always used 123do.

Thanks Ginetto.

GPLtrackEditor for me is like an atomic submarine. If a spanish tutorial would be availabe it could be some hope, but with my english, I got lost trying to understand this editor.

123do has a very rough interface and I used it for very small 3dos, but not for a 400 polys 3do. As 123do only works with its own files rebuid the 3do completely would be needed. Finally I asumed 3DSimEd is not perfect but I can handle. I'm going to have a look again to 123do, but better an editor that can read a 3do file as there are other 3dos that could be revised.

Edit:

Found the export DXF option in 3DSimEd and it works, but I think textures must be loaded/asigned in 123do, but can be useful.

As 123do can handle square polygons, I wonder if it could be worthy to redo boxes, that are made in triangles (actually 3DSimEd only handles triangles). Boxes can be reduced to a half the number of polys, but I supose to draw a triangular poly is faster than an square one.
