No need to register at the track database!

Use this link, choose "search" and select the track by alphabet ;)

Wow!  Thanks Cookie! I didn't see that.

Now to decide which Reims I need to be compatible with the above linked upgrade.  Think I'll download them all and sort it out when the time comes.

EDIT:  Okay... just tried to download any version of Reims via the "Link" noted in each track's line and they all result in "404" errors.

Wow... I guess it's just not meant for me to fill out my track folders.

For some reason Cookie linked to the setups page of the Track database.

This is the main page, you can get the tracks by clicking the "Get track" button for each track. If you find a dead link there are threads for most tracks in here just mention it there and it will be fixed asap.

As for Reims, here is the direct linkto the track

Thanks Mickov, that did it!

I was able to install a Reims that was already in the 05SEASON track list and I now have a Reims on which to race in the 1955 mod. FAST track... lot of fun... but I run out of top end with my Ferrari 555 trying to stay mid-pack! Need to run some taller gears.

Now I need to start going through the 05SEASON file tracks and start making a list of tracks still needed.

I started checking the current track websites to see when they actually started racing there. Also "Motor Racing Circuits in England then and now" by Swinger.

Last time I was on my mobile phone, that`s why it was short. :)

Well, here is the direct link to the track at the GPL Track Database (GPLTD):

Reims  1967   French Grand Prix
http://gpltd.bcsims.com/?sbtd=reims

-> Then just click on the button "Get Track" and download the track.
Open/unpack the zip file "reims_gpl.zip".
Then start the installer by clicking on the "TrackInstall.exe"
Now you have installed Reims and it should be listed in GEM+.
In case Reims 67 is not listed in GEM+ you can add it via the season manager of GEM+ to any season.ini you want, 67, 65, 55 and so on.
Then start GPL and go on the track to test if it works.

Then I recommend to install updates. :)
For most tracks at the GPLTD you can get updates via the button "SRMZ". Additionally use the search button at SRMZ.
But for Reims there is no link signed to the button "SRMZ".
(I think I can change that as I have recently got admin rights by Bill for the GPLTD. :) Before anyone asks I can not add new released tracks to the GPLTD yet.)

Reims update by Thomas Laechle:
http://www.thomas-la.../gpl/index.html

Or better use the Reims Track 1954 Conversion update
http://srmz.net/inde...showtopic=11823
This already includes Thomas Laechle`s updates plus othere updates especially for the 55 mod.
I recommend to use the complete folder provided by Greg Liebzeit.
This will work with all mods. The 55 updates will only be visible when you drive the 55 mod.

Have fun. :)

Yeah :)

I have just linked the "SRMZ" button of Reims 67 to a SRMZ thread that has the link to the Thomas Laechele website. :)
Was pretty easy to do.

Hello Stefan:

Thank you for your help.  I have downloaded the file by the name of:

"1954_Reims_Conversion_complete_gl_v2.0.rar"

Am I correct in understanding that EVERYTHING needed to install the Reims 1954 track is included in this one installer?

If so, then I now need to find a program to unzip "rar" files.  I think I also need a program to unzip 7z files, or something like that. Don't know what happened to good old "zip" files! :)

So WinRAR will unzip 7zip files and 7zip will unzip WinRAR files?

And many more, including good old fashioned zip files.

You are welcome. :)

Yes.
Install the track using "reims_gpl.zip". Then Reims is installed to GPL and added to your season.inis.
Then unpack "1954_Reims_Conversion_complete_gl_v2.0.rar" into the reims folder in your GPL track folder and let it overwrite all files.
Then you have an up to date Reims track including Thomas Laechele updates and the 50s update.

I would go for the freeware 7-zip: http://www.7-zip.org/
It can unpack zip, rar, and many other formats.

WinRAR is not freeware.
