Sim Racing Cockpit Project

Posted by Pedro L Ramalho in Your rig or Manufacturer's stuff

Today I share with you the project I am developing for my sim racing cockpit.

I would like to have your oppinion and suggestions before I start buying the materials to build it.

It is an aluminium profile based sim racing cockpit, and the two main goals are: maximum adaptability and minimum investment.

I developed it fucused in having distance and angle regulations for almost everything, to permit the perfect driving position for me or for my 6 year old kid.

So, it has 12 different adjustment possibilities, like pedals plate angle and distance, wheel and shifter plate angle, height and distance, monitor height and distance, seat position, backrest position, angle and lenght, head rest position and overall lenght adjustment of the chassis for stowage when out of use (with half size).

Below I share with you some 3D screenshots of the drawing. What do you think? What would you do differently?

Thank you!

Drvc69.ini Fix For 69 X'tra

Posted by Gaiztor Servers in GPL-69 Mod

I have created this topic so no one misses a fix (especially important for SERVERS) made by Tommie (TvO) a couple of years ago.
The issue was initially reported by Cookie / UKGPL  in the GPL Repository forum: 69xtra bug needs a fix.

Cookie said:

69x mod makes double driver numbers at a full grid!
We have full grids at UKGPL and troubles at several races.
This seems to make the server dizzy and gives lots of extra work when importing the results to the UKGPL database.

TvO said:

The server takes it's starting numbers from the AI lineup drvc69.ini. This file had both Jacky Ickx and Pedro Rodriguez with starting number 12. I've changed Ickx' number to 7, which was unused in the generic drvc69.ini.

The new drvc69.ini (www.grandprixlegends.co.nf/files/drvc69.ini) must be placed in the root Grand Prix Legends folder.
This fix is recommended for EVERY server hosting 69x, although the bug only occurs when the grid is already filled with 16 drivers or more.

P.S. According to Cookie's posts in another topic, this fix may also solve other issues when playing the mod offline (AI, crashes, etc.).

Daytona Mk And Flatstead

Posted by lisha990 in Alternative GPL Track Database
Hi all!

On my way to complete my next total rank I realized that these two tracks are not working.
The installer of daytona mk doesn't work with windows 10 and the link to flatstead is dead

[Media] Tag Cannot Handle Https Links To Youtube

15 Feb 2018

Posted by Gaizka López C. in Member Feedback

I could not find any other topic where this had been mentioned before.

I spent a lot of time the other day trying to post a youtube video. I did thousand combinations to try to get the video to show / play in the post instead of just having a link pointing to youtube. No matter what I did, it did not work until I noticed I was working with an https:// link...
As soon as I rewrote it as http://, it worked out of the box.

I think it would be good to know that currently this is a known limitation in the forums and that the way to solve it is to modify the parser of the [media] tag

Kind regards,
