Cms Hosts 1967 Simulated Italian Grand Prix With Assetto Corsa

Champion Motorsports and our Fun Series is proud to present our first official league event with the newly released sim, Assetto Corsa.  Please join us for a multiplayer simulation of the 1967 Italian Grand Prix with the Historic Lotus 49 and Monza 66 Layout from Assetto Corsa.  PLEASE indicate your plans to race by signing-up in this thread so we can get an accurate forecast of folks planning to attend:

What you will need

1.  Assetto Corsa from Steam Welcome to Steam -- The Lotus 49 and Monza 66 are part of the base content

Race and Event Details
==========

Tuesday June 10th
Car - Lotus 49
Track - Monza 66

Race Settings and Schedule
==========
Race Server open for Bookings from 7:30 to 8pm CST (-6 GMT) - You must pre book to join during this time

Practice (60 minutes) starts at 8pm CST

Qualifying (15 minutes) starts at 9pm CST

Race (30 laps) starts at approximately 9:15 CST

Server Information (Looping in Assetto Corsa Lobby)

Server Name = cmsracing.com
Server password = letsroll

We will be using simulation options, as much as they will be allowed in game.

This is the problem with iRacing too. One car. It's spec racing. When will another company release the whole 67 season? Cars and tracks like GPL.

Good luck with the race, but I just can't get into one type car racing.

I'd say never going to happen again. With ridiculous costs of obtaining manufacturer / track owner's licences nowadays, you would have to literally sh..t with money to afford modelling full car grid and track pack for chosen GP season. Only EA and Sony are capable of doing that, but they cater for different segment of customers. In this situation, "the last white hope" for us is modding community.

But looks like we're hijacking the thread a bit ;).

If you feel the need to comment about it please choose another thread.

I find it troublesome that people are unable to post stuff about other sims without these kinds of comments. This forum is about all sims not just GPL.
Please consider that before posting.
