Good question Stefan... is it worth getting?

8 bucks (or about 7 quid for You guys on the Islands) - for the best 330P4 rendition in PC gaming so far (this car alone is worth it), plus not-so-bad 312 after all, plus a great 250 GTO? That's a bargain.

AC 2? Just another way to grab our money. Why don't they just improve AC?

The 288 GTO too is another masterpiece of this pack for vintage racers like us

It has come to a stalling point. Their engine is pushed to the limit right now and can't go any further. So, they decided to retain their physics engine, expanding it and improving it, and merge it with a new graphics engine like UE4, since their has never been the pinnacle of technology. AC is 4 years old now, counting the Early Access, it is normal that they need to work on a new title. They are not iRacing with memberships, their profit comes from sells. An old title does not sell that well, and DLCs alone cannot help that much. Plus developing a new title will take 2 years minimum.
I am very eager to see a sequel to AC. With their physics, and a much better improved engine for graphics and audio it will be incredible!

They have you convinced they are always right and can do no wrong no matter what it cost you. All they want is your money.

are you kidding? Of course they can f**k up. I just trust that they'll do  a decent job, since AC is the only modern sim I truly enjoy. If they won't, I'll just keep playing AC. No one forces me to buy anything.

I should be sayin that, given that you called me brainwashed.
I think that my response was very polite and objective. If not, I apologize. If there is something else, please let us discuss this in private.

Pete, it's difficult to understand you sometimes, when one's not sure whether you judge other products from blatantly utopian perspective (even though I'd also love to see a new sim with any historic full grid and track lineup, I know it's never going to happen again), or from modern gaming industry perspective.

They built AC with some simplistic ideas. They will never invest into the current game engine, DLCs will keep giving them additional money over the Digital Bros. funding, since AC is now owned by that. Anything such as night, transition, weather, and actual core functionalities and endurance racing support can only be speculated for a new game.

I understand that and I don't expect it to ever happen. It's not why i'm upset with AC in this thread. It's the stealing of property. I actually bought something that I now see was stolen. I don't like being part of that and it won't happen again.

I'm content with GPL and I don't need another race sim. It's kind of funny. My combat flight sim of choice is also a 98 sim that's been improved and brought up to date by the community free of charge.  (BMS)

I'm letting it go Leon because we're friends and I don't want to give you any more grief. Just stay open-minded when it comes to new versions of a sim.

Pete I understand you have bought, out of mistake, a ripped mod from GPL. I know which one, since it has been widely debated elsewhere and it is pretty well known. But what this has to do with Kunos and AC? It's not their fault those people did what they did.

No, what I bought was a Porsche series.

I would have been aware of a GPL ripoff and not bought it.

It sounded strange in fact. Now I understand better. Still, my question remains: what does the mod has to do with the game itself though? I mean, what fault does Kunos have?

What have Kunos stolen regarding Porsche content?

They seem to have a fantastic working relationship with Porsche and Assetto Corsa powers all of Porsche's official simulators at shows. They even appear together in interviews talking about how good their deal has been for each other.

If there's some dodgy Porsche content out there I'll be amazed if Kunos are involved.
