I did use your CTD fix A.
In Core.ini I used replayMemoryOverride = 256000. Changing it to 128000 seems to make a positive difference but has not yet solved the issue completely. With replayMemoryOverride = 128000 in a race with 19 AI during practice, GPL CTDed only after my third car crash on track (I am not a very good driver). The first two crashes did not result in CTDs and I could restart from the pitlane. Before, with replyMemoryOverride = 256000, my PC CTDed immediately as a result of a car crash.
I monitored the task manager and did not observe anything strange. GPL uses about 250 MB of memory and max of about 30% of my CPU power. When monitoring the GPU use, the utilisation is about 20 - 35%. As a result of the car crash causing the CTD, the utilisation of the GPU goes down to 1% at the time of the car crash, then spikes to 100% which is the CTD, then back to 1%
I did not try any other options.
I hope the above is of any help.
I am more then happy with the hotlapping without AI. The track is more and more amazing every time I drive it.

Your system is powerfull enough.
I would stick with 128000
Your problem may be associated driving with too many AI cars around you in complex sections and using the more taxing car sets.?
Depending on the car set, some AI get stuck behind each other and bunch up. If you are following a big group like that through a complex track section and / or where there are long draw diistances, the CTD possibility is increased if you have an "off" in those circumstances, asking GPL to compute sudden positional changes and sudden graphics changes it cant handle.
Some of the newer car sets are very taxing to render I think.
You could try reducing Detail Bias in GPL Options, which reduces the texture load for cars that are medium distance away. You will hardly notice any difference. Certainly DON'T have Detail Bias at 100% Try 45% to about 70% on the slider.
Also try racing with 67 F1 or the 67 F2 Mod and see if that's different.
Please let us know how you get on.
