on many track the AI in f2 dont work correctly , for instance  at solitude  ,during the race  they work fine for a couple of lap and suddenly they slow down , even more puzzling at brands hatch the 67 carset work fine , but the 68 not so well they are terribly slow in the straight , and no AI tweaking in the GEM  seem to correct that

I don't think I made any changes to the AI behaviour for the '68 F2 carset, so I'm not sure what the problem is, sorry. Maybe someone else can help?

Pure speculation, based on years of Sierra sims and LP files ... some physics just do not function well with the AI and LP files.  The solution would probably entail custom LP files for each mod, then AI tweaked to those.

A good example (discussed in a very old thread here) is the GTP mod for N2k3;  those physics are so altered from what the sim was designed for that some tracks are virtually useless for offline racing.  The fictional "Butibamba" road course was one;  you could practice in any mod, but turn the GTP AI loose there and it was utter chaos;  some quickly created LP files improved the situation 100% ...but the AI were still too manic to race.

, 1967 f2 and 1968 f2 share the same physic ,
