Gpl 1968 F1 Mod Released

Hi everyone.

At the bottom of this message is a link to the 1968 F1 Mod for Grand Prix Legends. It has taken about 7 years of work to get it to this point and I am happy now with the result. Although there will forever be updates that I want to do it is time for me to finish up my GPL modding.

The mod had to be split into 2 parts to work properly. Part 1-Early 68 covers the Race of Champions through to the French Grand Prix and Part 2-Late 68 covers the British Grand Prix to the Mexican Grand Prix. The real season points were split here as well. The South African Grand Prix could not fit in and for now remains a part of the 67 Historical Mod. I would have preferred to include it here but it was not possible. Depending on the feedback a Kyalami 68 mod might follow shortly.

I use Monacane instead of Monaco and this track should be installed to work with the mod. There is absolutely no way they went through the chicane flat out at Monaco in 68 and any amount of braking in my opinion is better than none. I did try to do an ai set for the original Monaco but it was not a copy and paste job from Monacane. So if anyone wants to race the original papy version in 68 someone else will have to work out a new drve68.ini to go into Monaco. Jarama, Spa67, Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and St Jovite also need to be installed for the 68 season.

I have included a Brands68 track in the download for the Race of Champions so it is separated from the British Grand Prix also run at Brands Hatch. There is also a track called nurburg68 that simulates the foggy and wet German Grand Prix while the original dry Nurburgring is also included in the season.ini.

This mod will NOT show numbers and might not work properly online. Sorry to everyone that races online but as someone who doesn't I can't find the motivation to do the huge amount of work required to put all of the online skins together. If someone else is willing to do this I will make an online version of the mod.

The physics have been made unique to 68 F1 and should accurately model how the cars behaved in both Early and Late 68.

The ai have been set to work normally on Intermediate difficulty and to give reasonably accurate but not exact results. Each ai driver has been given a retirement chance based on how many races he finished in real life. That does not mean if a driver retired at Spa he will always retire there in the mod. It is calculated over the whole season.

A manual installation is needed. Just extract all of the files in the downloaded .7z using WinRAR or 7-ZIP then move or copy them in to your GPL install which is usually SIERRA/GPL (the GPL folder in the download is merged with your current GPL game folder) and select the mods through GEM. None of the files should conflict/overwrite anything. It really is that simple and actually quicker than using an installer.

In the attached Read Me there is a little extra information about the mod.

This mod would not have been possible without and special thanks to Richard Cooke (physics), Tommie (important 3do work), Irridux (general updates), Denis (DB312-ai faces/helmets), Arturo (layout) and G.Spinning (general updates and feedback).

I hope that everyone who downloads enjoys it. If there are any problems let me know and I will try to fix them as soon as I can.

Hi Guys!

Do you like GT Sport?

Initially, when it was released, I was not fully convinced, then I saw maybe the best after release development ever!

Then yesterday I found a game copy on sale for only 14,99€ and the rest is history: https://www.youtube....h?v=hEVx0nvaj4U.

Just to point out one thing: the in game detail is just incredible: the speedometer of the historical vehicles have all a functioning mechanical analogue distance display of the km driven!

If you wanna see my first in game impressions, please watch the video!

Thank you all!

And enjoy!

It works for PC or Xbox One. Still like new. Very few hours of use. I was keeping it as backup for a Fanatec setup but I decided to sell it instead.

Can The Uk Halt The Trend Of Rising Right-Wing Politics?

12 Dec 2019

Posted by Saiph in Off Topic Chat
Rodrigo Duterte. Viktor Orban. Jair Bolsonaro. Donald Trump. Boris Johnson. And others.....

Racists, fascist tendencies, authoritarian, misogynist, homophobic, pro-violence, narcissistic, egotistical, abusive, dishonest and immature in political debate.

And in other places too around the globe, extremist right-wing politics and fascism seems to be on the rise. Why? How has the human race allowed this creeping cancer to rise up again, after the lessons of the 1930's and 1940's?

Will today's (12th Dec 2019) election in the UK make a start in halting this evil tide? It won't be easy. 95% of the UK printed press (Daily Mail, Daily Express, The Sun, Daily Telegraph (known as the 'Daily Torygraph' due to its slavish devotion to the Tory Party), The Times) are printing propaganda which supports the Conservative (Tory) Party. Those so-called 'newspapers' are owned by just a few billionaires who care for nobody but themselves.

On TV, the BBC and Sky are also supporting the Tories. There are daily calls for the BBC's political correspondent Laura Kuenssberg to be sacked, due to her embarrassingly obvious anti-Labour bias. She has even been reported to the London Metropolitan Police in the last couple of days for revealing information about postal votes which is not supposed to be known before election day. Many other BBC reporters push the pro-Tory line. Sky has tried to narrow this election down to just one topic - Brexit. This fits in with the Tory agenda, and takes attention away from all of the social problems caused by Tory austerity measures over the last ten years.

Britain currently has charity-run food banks which are in regular use, even by people who have a job! Nurses working in the UK NHS sometimes need to use food banks. Currently, there are estimated to be four million children in the UK growing up in poverty. Homeless people can be seen sleeping in the streets in every town and city in the UK, yes even my fairly small town. In the last ten days alone, three homeless people have died of hypothermia in the UK due to sleeping on the streets in sub-zero temperatures. Due to the xenophobic and racist nature of the Brexit debate, Hate Crime in Britain is running at record levels. 47% of Hate Crimes in the UK are targetted at Muslims. This is not helped by Boris Johnson abusing Muslim women in traditional garb as looking like "letterboxes" and "bank robbers". Muslims are regularly discriminated against by the Tory government.

If there's anyone out there reading this from the UK, I hope that voting for Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party can stop this tide. Turn Britain back into a human nation once again, where disabled people are not abused and left penniless by being told "you're fit for work - get a job or starve". Where people of all types can live without fear in our multi-racial society. Where everyone gets the chance to have a roof over their head. Where Britain's international policies no longer put the interests of the United States and Israel joint first above all others. Where Britain's TV channels, cinema screens and music charts are not dominated by American propagandist ::crap::.

Please, if you're reading this in the UK and you haven't voted yet: PLEASE VOTE LABOUR FOR A BETTER BRITAIN!
