How do you practice overtaking on the outside, braking for entry alongside other cars, running a counter line thru the esses?
Shift-R comes in handy for that.
:)

But it seems differences of opinion maybe have a basis in whether the idea is to have fun or be serious about it.

Fun%(x) x Serious%(y) = Too Much Fun

When Fun equals 100% anything is possible...oops, almost.

Shift-R.

You don't need another car to practice different lines in a turn John. Once you have that down you go race. How do you practice those things without racing? The other car has to be racing too. I don't want to do them during qualifying.

Besides, those things were learned decades ago.

Those AI's are stupid and predictable...

So it is good to have some mates joining a pre race practice server and do some close wheel exercises!
It is pure fun but also a high value for learning how to react to maneuvers of the other and avoid crashing.
You will also understand where you can and where you can not pass ;)

Just an example 66s at Monza : https://drive.google...Q1h2S3hTQTlfOVU

AI don't have egos. Very refreshing.
