The Steam Controller is the closest thing to a wheel when using the gyro function,it would be a natural for this sim which was originally designed for wheels with small rotation degrees.

I added GPL to my steam library and tried to configure the Steam Controller  but GPL does not see it when I calibrate.

Am I doing something wrong?

I've never seen anyone use that for GPL, I doubt it's even possible.

Do you run Steam "as Administrator" when using it with a non-Steam game?

GPL does see the controller but only as a mouse.

The right trackpad is the mouse pointer and the B button is Left Click.

To make GPL see the Steam Controller as a gamepad is the mystery.

I think it would make a fantastic peripheral for GPL.

I use it in Assetto Corsa Competizione and it's great fun.

The one thing I noticed about this controller is that when you open game devices on your PC,the Steam Controller is never listed which probably explains the near zero latency the controller has, smooth as silk and probably why GPL does not see it properly.

Another idea - from what I understand Steam Controller is generally Xinput, older games are Direct Input only.

A steam controller?  That must be an old computer, all my controllers are electronic.
