Here is v2.6.2 which hides the car picture box.  Hopefully, this will allow everyone to see the steering ratio box.

Just use this .exe instead of the normal GPL Setup Manager.exe.  All the other files are the same.

Lee, your version 2.6.2. works well with all mods.

The elimination of the car images does indeed make room for the steering ratio box.... although I cannot verify that it makes this correction for resolutions greater than 1920x1080.

Thx Greg, that's the only resolution I can test with too.

Lee, shall I update http://gplmotorworks.gplworld.de/ with the latest version 2.6.2?

It works here Lee
Before I could not see the parts below the pictures, now I can easily see and adjust their values.

Thank You!

Thanks Lee! This version works fine for me in 1920x1080, I can see all the boxes now. The steering ratio box is visible, and I can see the wing settings properly for the '69 and '69Extra mods.

I also tried switching to 1600x900 res to see if everything was ok. I could see all of the boxes and buttons ok, but most of the text in the car settings boxes had the lower couple of rows of pixels cut off because the boxes are a little too small. I could still read everything pretty well though, so it's useable. I guess that's a result of trying to pack so much setup info into one screen.

It's strange how the pictures were displayed in different sizes on different peoples' screens at 1920x1080, even though we apparently had no scaling options set. Must be some oddity with video drivers perhaps? I know I can't upgrade to the latest nVidia drivers at the moment, as in OpenGL I get weird "mirroring" effects with the white track lines at circuits like Solitude.

But at least GPLSM is working fine now. Thanks again.

Glad to hear this latest version works better for some.  :)

Stefan, if you could just add this latest .exe to the .zipped file on the website, then the user could choose to use either version.  That would be the easiest way.  If adding the new .exe is a problem, then I can make a new package with both the old and versions and send it along to you.  Thanks.

I believe that this is because Lee's program (or the building blocks within it) are set to use the 'native resolution' of the display device.  Any other res. will cause distortion of the text fonts.

I tested with 1600x900 native res laptop and it works fine!
Just the boxes for the values seem a little too low, the bottom of the numbers is cut (e.g. 2 has no horizontal line...)

1280x1024 native works fine too ;)

Also for me; I thought was for some different font I use but then I remember I am using win7 all default :D

1600x900 native res here.

Done, your website is now online with your latest creation.
The new version 2.6.2 exe is inluded in the 2.6.1 zip on the website.
Thx!
