  I'm having a heck of a time getting Solitude installed.  After downloading the file I cannot find the installer icon.

My attempts to extract the file to my GPL "tracks" folder show no results.   I must be missing something simple.

If you have the GPLEA v1 then you need to extract this and the install file will be there, maybe you have a corupt download, try downloading it again and see if it works http://gplea.rscsite...litude v1.0.exe

Hi Jack,

It sounds like you are trying to extract the files directly to your gpl folder. If this isn't the case, then ignore the following.

With Solitude, like Craig said, you have to take another step first. Create a folder named Solitude. It doesn't matter where, in your documents or wherever, but remember where you put it. Browse and find this folder with the Solitude file extracter and extract the files. Open your Solitude folder and you'll see the Solitude files, including the track installer you're used to seeing.  Run the installer and you are done.  You can delete the Solitude folder you had just created.

Good luck,

Dave

Sky, I decided to download Solitude partly because I saw the improved texture version on Thomas' website.   His work in just gorgeous.  I'm using his Reims, Salzburg, Hockenheim versions as well as the Lotus and Eagle cockpits.

and while you're at it, try norisring as well with his update. that has become my main testing ground for new car stuff now, because i know exactly where the cameras are and what they'll show in a replay - plus i really like the look of it now.
