Hi,

I'm installing updates which I've missed over the last decade away from GPL and I'm curious about this one. Does it replace the original 67s? I have read that the physics are different so how does this effect my lap-times on GPL Rank? If I use this MOD, should I create a separate player or will it replace my default '67 player?

Sorry to have to ask but I would hate to upset my current, albeit outdated, GPL installation.

Thanks in advance.

Tobo

It's a mod, not an update, so it won't hurt your original version. You must add it as a new carset in GEM. All your 67x lap times will be saved to a different player.ini (plax67.ini).

I like it a lot by the way, though I don't drive it too much. You should definetaly give it a try.

It's listed as X1 1967 on Weekly and CRank pages. No upcoming events at the moment....

As Jani already wrote, you won`t loose anything and it won`t hurt your original installation, but I prefer a separate player for each mod (e.g. Firstname_Lastname67x) that I administrate with GEM+ to have things sorted.

If I am to upload laptimes to GPLRank, which ini file do I upload and will this overwrite my original 67 times?

I'm afraid GPLRank does not support 67X mod.

But Custom Rank has a rank for 67X lap times with championship and non-points races.

I have, of course, the default '67 cars, and the '67 Historic mod;  what is the '67 extra?

I'm not sure but if I remember correctly 1967X is the online version of the Historic mod.

Historic Mod = Extra Mod (online and offline version)

Welcome to the 1967 F1 Extra Mod - Online Edition & - Historical Mod v2 for Grand Prix Legends
The 1967 F1 Extra Mod - Online Edition for Grand Prix Legends (GPL) was released in 2018, predecessor was the 1967 F1 Extra Mod - Historical Mod v2 for Grand Prix Legends (GPL) in 2015.

Actually we have 3 versions:

v1 from 2012 (only graphical carset, no physics changes):

v2 from 2015:
http://srmz.net/inde...showtopic=11180

v3 from 2018 (which is the online version of the historic mod):
http://srmz.net/inde...showtopic=12389

I think I have to edit the version namings on my http://67f1.gplworld.de/ website and also on my reworked Easy Installation Guide v2.1 http://www.gplworld....tallation-guide that I am currently working on.
It is on my to do list. :)

Thanks.  I've not raced online in twenty years, so at least here's a mod I won't have to find time for.

Are the physics the same for the 2015 v2 and 2018 v3? I can't make my mind up which to go for. (I will only race the AI).

2015 v2 contains 7 sets of physics.  There is commonality between them.  But they reflect the changes thro' the season.  So for example early on you get the Lotus 43 but later you can drive a Lotus 49.  Some cars will appear in all sets.

2018 v3 is an "8th set" to give a subset to represent the whole of 1967 (initially to make online racing easier so everybody is using the same cars and includes online skins).  It was based largely on one of the the v2 sets (No. 5 IIRC).

Just install them both and you will have 8 choices of cars.  They will work alongside each other with no problem.
