Just installed GPL using Disc but when I click on the GPL icon the screen goes Black and nothing, it just sits there Black?.
Over the years since 98 I have installed it about 4 times previously no problems .

These days it's not recommended to install GPL using the original CD installer because hardware and operating systems have changed so much over the years.
As Alekhine mentions above, have a look at the "GPL Easy Installation Guide". You can download an installer which uses some of the files from the original GPL CD, but it also installs important changes to the rasterizers and other important patches which allow GPL to run much better on modern hardware and operating systems.

Yes the installation is perfect with version 1.08
The first time I used it to install a clean GPL, I fell from my chair : The cars are beautiful, the Papy-Tracks ditto, it's really the best!
