Hello, in the onedrive link is a short video of me being unable to assign or change controls in one of the gpl mods
The window to let you assign buttons or controls seems to not be able to pop up, any solutions?

Did you try to calibrate the wheel and pedals first ?

Have a look here:

And scroll down to section:

How to start playing?

....

Tip: When you configure your wheel for the first time, it may happen that you cannot assign your Brake even so the demo detects it. If this happens, assign for example the >B< key (or any other key) on your keyboard just to be able to exit the Controls Assign window. Then click on the Calibrate Joystick(s) button. The Brake Axis 1 will display Unassigned, but even so you will be able to push your brake pedal and the calibration menu will show it. Calibrate your Steering, Throttle, Brake and Clutch, then click the OK button. Go back to the Joystick Calibration menu. Now you will be able to assign the brake pedal instead of the >B< key. Click on the Calibrate Joystick(s) button again. Calibrate your Steering, Throttle, Brake and Clutch again, then click the OK button.

Okay so I actually got it working ... but now when I click on the green button it doesn't go to the track selection, it just stays in the menu

that maybe your anti virus blocking GPL

either turn it off or add the gplc67.exe and all mod exe to the exemption list ie gplc55.exe for the 55mod

not sure if you need to add gpl.exe to the list as well but i did just in case

I mean to say that the mod (in my case gplctc.exe) actually opens, I just can't get passed the main menu for some reason after clicking the green button on the bottom right

The only time I actually manage to get passed the main menu is when I'm in multiplayer mode, I just can't seem to run the mod offline, not even in training or World Championship

Granted, I might be missing an important detail: I added this mod to the GPL 2020 Demo.

Yes, the GPL 2020 Demo was meant to be a Demo, nothing more.

Get a CD or .iso and make a full install of GPL with the 1.08 installer - the only way to get this Sim in perfect condition...

I recently had a problem, that resulted in not being able to assign the wheel, pedals and buttons to any controls in any mod. The original GPL67 did function correctly, however. I coped and pasted the control.cfg file in my player folder to the appropriate folder in each mod and then all of them worked perfectly. I don't know if that will fix the problem with the green button but it's probably worth a try. I initially found that DEP was causing a CTD when trying to enter the car which led to my problem.
