I sure miss GPL rank. I haven't had the urge to hot lap or race much since it's been down.

I've been working away trying to gradually tweak my setups, and so far I have 9 new and 13 improved GT times queueing to be uploaded. But it is starting to get a little discouraging after so long, especially without any information.

I´ve also been filling my GT monster rank and it´s not so much fun now that you cannot compare your times with the others. It´s a pity that GPLRank is down especially now that we have a new GT rank.  

Without GPLRank, this could be the end of GPL as we know it...

well if it's a hardware issue, i've got an oldish ibm x335 dual xeon raid0 u320 scsi server sitting here collecting dust. should do well enough for a database of the size i'm thinking we're dealing with here - might be useful as a backup?

If you know the benchmarks, for the moment I guess there's still definitely something to aim for.

Even if it comes back up though, GPLRank won't last forever, so be sure to save the most important results lists for yourself. I always did, because you can never trust servers to stay up.

I would hate to see GPLRank go away, because I think that could kill GPL
While there are still GPL leagues out there, I think the "Hotlappers" and the chase of the "Rank" have kept it alive all these years.

lol, I'll be careful Roman, I promise. And by the way, you did an awesome job on the skins.

GPL (all mods, including the GT's) is one of the few sims where I can just sit and look at replays, just for the sheer beauty of the cars.

i only redid 3.. there are plenty of others to thank for, i was the last to join in, so mine is the smallest share to be credited there

but i agree, i've spent countless hours just looking at replays and cars or the scenery even. bit weird for a driving simulation
