I have already put some of my games on from my incredible collection of game discs. Without any issues, Installing or running.
So going to my external HD, with all my saved gpl files, I dug out the 1.08 Installer and slotted the gpl disc into the drive. Started the 1.08 Installer, loading circle began then stopped. Tried admin and compatibility mode, but still no joy ?
So dug out the 1.07 and that worked and installed gpl. At this moment and while I am writing this, I have got to re-start the pc and go into game, set up and drive. Then see how game performs ?
So I am wondering why the 1.08 didn't start and what things will I be missing with using the 1.07 instead of the 1.08.
PS: I may have a gpl 1.08 install directory file on my external HD. If I have, will I upgrade gpl 1.07 to gpl 1.08 by overwriting the existing directory ?

Maybe now just copy/overwrite saved install and be good to go?

Equally If I download the 1.08 Installer (think that's what you meant?) from author's the site and it works. Will it let me install again(through the Installer) and overwrite directory of already installed game on C-drive, that as been Installed originally with the 1.07?
Or will I have to uninstall C/Sierra gpl (1.07) version first to Install a fresh directory with the 1.08 Installer?

Give the current install an easy rename, (C:/SierraX), and experiment with no fear?

Still no joy,so I am using the 1.07 install.
Everything working fine after fiddling with the graphic settings in gem.
Also removed some aspects of prib and pasted in the XML for the no letterbox view.
Oh and applied the 4gb patch too. Game running a solid 36fps on opengl V2.
Now to install 55'65'66'F2 and Can 66.
