Did that for awhile, thinking it was isolated, but then found GPL was using both C and D when running.
Plus as I recall, GPL thinks it should be on the C-drive?
Does it matter or are there good reasons for keeping it on its own drive partition?
Now on "C:\Sierra\GPL."

I believe that this is the only restriction.
Actually, there are other user-made programs that key off of GPL being on the C: drive.

Ahh ok, thanks Greg. Will re-install Gem after the fresh OS then.

Back then I bought a PC from a shop so GPL was installed on C: but ever since I learned to build my own PC`s and have partitions I`ve always installed it on my SIMS partition D:
I`ve never really had any problems running it on D: as opposed to C:
I have noticed GPL using both D: and C: though hence my question about the fresh OS...

Ok, back with another question. I recently did a fresh W7. Everything seems to be fine after re-installing Gem. However, I no longer seem to have my player names for the mods linked to the carsets as they were before. IE - when I clicked on the Carsets tab to say, select the 65 mod it changed from the previous mod to the 65 mod and my 65 driver name was selected in the name section. This is no longer happening. "Link Carset To Player" is checked in the Configure tab. This was working perfectly before as I`ve said. Would it be something to do with having re-installed Gem?

1 - Bring up the player name, Bob Simpson65 in the top right drop-down.
2 - In the physics drop-down at the top left, highlight 1965 F1 (GPL65)
3 - Select the related car graphics in the drop-down menu just under the left picture - FULL65
1b - Bring up the layer name, Bob Simpson67 in the top right drop-down.
2b - In the physics drop-down at the top left, highlight 1967 Grand Prix (GPL67)
3b - Select the related car graphics in the drop-down menu just under the left picture - CARS67
...and repeat for all driver names.

Couple more things... which is the correct carset for the 67`s (F1) there are several options in the carsets drop down for the 67`s -
GPLES (1967 FL)
GPLFD (1967 FD)
GPLFG (1967 FG)
GPLFV (1967 FV)
What are the other options for? F2`s etc?
Plus how is the volume adjusted in GPL? I`ve turned the volume slider down a bit in game but it doesn`t seem to have altered the volume in game at all.

GPLES (1967 FL) > allows you to mix up engines and chassis so you can put a Honda engine (most powerful) in a Brabham chassis (lightest) with no weight penalty for instance
GPLFD (1967 FD) > gives you the standard 67 chassis with the Advanced Trainer engine
GPLFG (1967 FG) > gives you the standard 67 chassis with the BasicTrainer engine
GPLFV (1967 FV) > gives you the Advanced Trainer engine in the Basic Trainer chassis (I think?? or was it the other way around?)
The correct one for the 67s is 1967 Grand Prix (GPL67). In the Carsets window of GEM, you can disable those by putting them in the left hand column so they don't show up in the drop-down.
FD and FG choices are obsolete now because in GEM, you can just run any mod's standard chassis (the default) and select Basic or Advanced Trainer engine in the drop down under the picture on the right.
FV was used in some leagues for variety before any mods were made. It was an odd choice in my opinion.
The volume is changed as you did, but as soon as you go to another menu in Options that setting goes back to default. I use the function in GPLShift.ini for assigning keys for volume up/down.
