Hi

Keimola is next on the list for a face lift.  Written to the authors of the track who put this together in 2001 but 2 e-mails bounces and waiting on the last.

This one looks nice....  Had a bit of an issue with the way some of the tiles fit on the track so have been a bit restricted to what I can do.

Used another one of scoties horrizons  :) not seen in the attached shot though
Used Jack Seller update but ended up editing all the textures / doing from scratch anyway.

This is your first look  :)

edit: You can find the addon HERE

Think you're right Jason.
Had a quick look with mip viewer, didn't see anything.

That's really looking slick bud!

Looking very good so far.
But that horizon is not very suitable for Keimola. It´s in the middle of a forest area. Nice pics can be found here and here.

Btw, there are also two other nice updates for Keimola: one by F. Caballero and another one by Jackseller.

Hey Jason!

Think I have this still in layered format. You can have it & mess around with it, if you have the capabilities to work with layers.

Let me know and I'll send it your way.

sounds good - I have photoshop CS so layers are fine  :)

Still have not found how to change the mip in post 3  :(   any pointers else I will have to match the others to that colour which I think looks al little bright

there is also some clipping in a couple of areas on the track  --  are there any fixes out there for this???

cheers

I run Corel 11, and am unfamiliar with Photoshop. What layer extension can you open?

I only glanced through the .mip viewer for that section you're talking about. I'll take a look tonight after work.

For clipping, I'd contact Ginetto. (Mr. Master Track Builder Extrordinaire.   )

Hi scotty

- sent a PM to Ginetto re the clipping

- is there a tool to just browse the mips without opening??? - i always end up opening the mips in winmip  -  bit of a pain really

- not sure about the layer thing - if u send a test image with a couple of layers I'll see if i can use them

- still no word from the GPLEA re goodwood etc.   makes me chuckle really - they harp on about respect to the track designer etc (and I kinda agree with them) and then they do not return my PM's

cheers

Hey Jason,

Gpl Image viewer by Lee Bowden and Stefan Magnusson Yuu can find it at GPL++ site.

With the current horizzon the update is just over 12Mb using WinRar

Attached File  K4.jpg   213.66K   347 downloads

A few more tweaks an I think we are there - ready for release (note some quality is lost due to image size change (orig 1280x1024) and format change to jpeg)

Unfortunatly there is still some clipping but I can't do anything about that :(
