This voodoo fix/mip optimisation and texture exchange is for the 4 bit standard v.1 version of Brands Hatch though the texture upgrade could be used for any version. What started out a minor texture tweak turned into a bit of a project as this version has a fair number of 512 sized 4 bit mips that wouldn't allow the track to load on my computer. Also grass textures with a very low number of sub-images that I converted into 16 bit along with the 512 mips and now this track runs like a freight train rolling down the track at high speed on my computer,so if nothing else I've now got the smoothest running version of Brands Hatch that's ever been on my computer. Improved frame rate over the 4 bit light version and higher definition textures to go with it.

This simple update has the horizon and some spectator mips from the Repository which I think turned out quite well. Enjoy.

Just for clarification.  Is this for the David Sabre version?

Maybe this might help online,I don't know. I do know that for my computer to take advantage of the full effect of a smoother running Brands67,both zips need to be installed. The first zip contains default track textures that now have the optimum number of subimages according to WinMip and I notice a definite difference. :)
