3DO Tools:
3do_php - Fred (White Falcon) Anderson's 3do > php converter
3doED - David Noonan's 3do/ptf/graphics viewer (does not save files)
3do Program Plugins - Fred (White Falcon) Anderson's plugins for different 3do programs
N2003 wheel jig - forgot what this was for.  Use in 3DSMAX
conv3ds - converts 3ds into X-files (unknown author)
winconvx - Windows interface for conv3ds

Hi,

I have downloaded the tools (Quattro isn't around anymore it seems but thanks anyway) but the php converter doesn't work here. From the read me :

B) convert one file using the nonReferenced Shapes (this will make a standalone XML)
    1) put the 3do of your choice in the 3do folder
    2) open a command prompt
    3) goto the folder you have unzipped all of your scripts into.
    4) type the following line at the command promp and hit Enter
        php -q tdo2xml_2k3_06_noRef.php Your3doNameHere

    5) use XMLtoFULLXML to unpack the XML file you have created.
    6) Load it up in MX (you will have to point your MX option settings to the Shape Folder adn wherever your mips are)

The 4th point, an error in command prompt says roughly : "php isn't recognized as an internal or external command, an executable program or a command file."

Any input appreciated, thanks in advance. :)

The file in post #2 is called 3do_php.
If that is the file you use i would expect the command to start with that not just php.
That is if you run it from the dos box.

I can't check the files right now but the fact that it says it doesn't recognize the command is normally an indication that either that file is not present or you're running it from the wron directory.

Thanks for the answer Mech but it doesn't work for now.

I'm using C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe, the files location matches the address in the command : both "3do_php" and "php" have the same answer : "isn't recognized as an internal or external command, an executable program or a command file."

I must be wrong but where ?

Yes but did you navigate to the folder where those files are in the dosbox?
When i normally use the dosbox i use short foldernames close to the root so i can quickly navigate there.
So create a folder like c:\convert
Drop all those files in there and fire the dosbox up with the cmd.exe
Then type cd \convert so you navigate to that folder.
Now type dir /x and you should see all files present with the windows name and the underwater dosname(8.3 notation)
Any command you start with and isn't part of the dos commands should be one of the exe files in that folder.

If you now type in the command it should work if the listing shows the files you dropped in that folder.

"cd \convert" then "dir /x" detects all the files.

Then when I type the command, same result again.

Any command you start with and isn't part of the dos commands should be one of the exe files in that folder.

Not sure if I understand right, php is an exe right ?

EDIT : maybe I'm on something :

"First you need to have PHP installed. you dont actually have to have a webserver running or anything like that. you can just install php as a standalone app and use it via CommandLineInterface (CLI)
so.. for our sake let's assume that you have php installed in c:\php"

EDIT 2 :

I'm on windows XP 32 bits, which one should I pick ?

Yes, you need to have php installed in order to use that as command to execute.
You need x86, x64 is 64bit.

Thank you Mech, works great now on n2003 files. :) N3, not made for it of course, so it doesn't work. I'll make further investigations to try something.

I'd like to explore both game car files (for N3 I asked elsewhere for N2W3DO v1.0 by Gilles Benoit as it's unavailable at thenorwaypits but I have no response yet).
