Pitstop_Patch shouldn't work with US version of gpl, sorry.

What I did is just copy the xml to GEM+/Options folder, and tick it within GEM+ and execute GPL from there (I tried with patches for 1.202 and 1.3 versions). Maybe I should do anything else?. I'm trying it offline, to consider if we could use it in our online races...

That's most of the time the reason why options or other changes in physics don't work.

at first you should try the patch with normal (67) gpl, because it’s made for normal gpl.
In the next step you can try it with a MOD, but there is no guarantee if it works. I do only a very small test with MOD65 and saw it works in principle, but I’m not sure if the size of wear effect is convenient., because it’s tuned to the 67s.

I'll try it doing what MECH said. We'll gonna race with 66mod the next season. That's the reason I'm interested in testing it with the 66's

I really did consider to register at eolc. Not only for the patch, but also for the great drivers that are there... but if I also race at sundays I'll get fired from my own home, hehehe.

Now the cars wlll be repaired at every pitstop automatically (except GP mode).
Pitstop_Patch is made to create new modes between the normal INT and PRO modes.
pitstop INT mode: ShiftR is possible at every place of the track, but with consequenzes (flat tire and gear failure). The car will be repaired at the pits without consequenzes. pitstop INT mode is harder than normal gpl INT mode.
pitstop PRO mode: ShiftR isn't possible. But if you bring the car to the pits it will be repaired. pitstop PRO mode is more human than normal gpl mode.
pitstop GP mode is made for hardliner. No ShiftR, no repaining at the pits.
The wear code is more difficult and uses now additional to wheelspin wheelforces.
The first pitstop5(dg) will be at 19/07/14. At the moment track is unsure.Details see www.eolc.de in a few days.

Now the Problem should be history.
By the way I prepaired mode INT SHORT like in pitstop3 (no gear failure in these mod).
Next chance to drive/test the patch is on Saturday 19/07/2014 at Tripoli-Mellaha Lake, 5 laps. See www.eolc.de

- to me the rear wear is way too high compared to the front wear (x3/x4 factor, like 5-18), even with smooth driving. I have a loose driving style, and now I need to adjust my driving style as well as the setup in order to prevent the car to become undrivable after a few laps (as rear grip declines exponentially). To me it seems this patch is developed by and for ppl with a tight driving style...(who drive over the front wheels, understeer)
- I noticed after an off driving carefully back on the tarmac over a kerb (without wheelspin) the rear wear jumped from 19 to 28 in an instant. Looks like a bug!?
This was at testing at Interlagos73, with latest Pitstop5(dg)_1.3 patch.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your hard work, but from my own point of view this patch could be improved to make it more interesting for more ppl...

We did a short funrace at Interlagos73. With a very tight setup and taking it easy first few laps I had about 15 25 wear after 8 laps. In general I like it, but wished the wear would be more balanced out. Also going sideways, and you need to pit for tires as the rear wear goes from 10 to 40 for example (and front is still 3-5). Further spinning the tire on the grass also will make you pit. So in general I like the idea, but there is no margin for any error, and that's not good for racing other cars or pushing.
Again, thanks for all the hard work, but there are a couple of downsides from my point of view.

It is possible that the front/back ballance in the new version could be better. It's not easy to adjust because anyone have an other driving style. Pitstop5(dg) is relative new. At EOLC we do with it only two fun races. At Tripoli we had the same effect like you at Interlagos. I thought the reason could be the track. But if you say the same it's suspicious.
With pitstop3 we do a lot of official races. The front/back ballance was good ballanced. Only the left/right ballance was at tracks with very long highspeed turns a little bit problematic.
To adjust the small left/right ballance problem I developed the new tires. But maybe the old tires was better than the new tires? I'm not sure.
If you have the time make a small test with pitstop3 at the same track (see my post on 21/10/13). I will be very interested what you say.
Normaly the Pitstop5(dg) wear effect should work better than pitstop3 at jumps. I don't observed a jump like you say at curbs. Maybe it's the moment the tire come back to the track after the jump.
If I have time I try to reproduce what you say.
