Greg, the best site I found on F2 is this one http://www.formula2.net/F267_Index.htm , but only few starting grids are provided. However, knowing the pole sitter, I speculated with photos and videos of the time. :report:

... I said to Remy, but I meant Remy and all team. :thanks:

Thank you Michel. We could not live without you :thanks:    . I see that there are quite a lot of trackF2 to be done, but I think it will be worth the effort. Regarding Rouen I have pics with Williams on the left of the grid, Ickx on the right of the grid and Rindt on the same line of Clark at his right hand. Does this confirm your last finding 3x2 R?

Greg, thanks for the updated table.

:)

Yes, I corrected Rouen . Pole was on the right .Cld we live without you, Gianfranco and other keys contributors ( really gpl DOERS) ?? .Answer is no.

The funny thing is Tulln Langelebarn .They took advantage of the airport tarmac, for a wide grid.

Inside the game, we have a 2 X 2 grid. AIs are prone to crash at the first corner.

A 4 X 3 grid wld be a demolition derby . The track realism is not bad, and there was haybales; But the distance between haybales on each side shld be enlarged.

Do you think, it cld solve the problem of the first corner piles up ?.

Michel, I will look into the Tulln AI crashing issue.  I've been using Pavel's LP file updates to improve my F2 tracks installations.

I'll be sure to contact you when I have some news on Tulln.  :)

Currently I'm working on all tracks for 1967 F2 season You can see that most of updates that I've posted are for F2 tracks. I already have made new Tulln lp's. But to eliminate (or atleast reduce) crashes at first corner I did changes to tulln.3do. I moved haybales after turn 1 further from racing surface.

Greg, Pavel, you are fantastics !  A small bug to correct, and you take the corrective actions quickly !
So you have seen that last haybales chicane before the S/F line that block unrealistically the AIs. With this tricky corner shape, don' t know if this can be cured.

AI's are quite going for a stop, and lost easily 4/5 seconds, on the section.

1'11" - 5" = 1'06", closer to Beltoise pole in 1' 05 "

With Sergio's update of 29 July 2011 I get a couple of large miss-matches between the 'tulln.trk' and the 'tulln.3do' files.  The cars hover above the surface at two places along the S/F straight.  Also, the bumpiness along this straight seems too great.  What are you guys thoughts on this issue?

This is in addition to the closeness of the haybales on the outside of T1 at the end of the runway and the very difficult AI path through the haybales of the last turn as the cars come onto the runway.

I never noticed that there are places on straight where cars are above surface. Also I never had big problems with AI in last turn. Original lp's were bad, but with proper lines AI doing well there. Main problem at Tulln is closenest of pitstalls to the track. If car is moving through so called 'pitlane' then car exiting t4 slows dramaticly.

Greg,

Did you try the fix in Post #24 ? :)

Dave, thank you for pointing me to the "fix".  I have been 'busy' for awhile and must have missed this.  :)

EDIT:  The "fix" of the alternate tulln 'trk' file appears to be just the original v1 file.  If you extract the 'trk' from the tulln v1 'dat' file it is the same size.  The tulln v2 'trk" with the mis-match and extreme bumpiness is larger.  Also, if you drive around in the area of the last turn with all of the haybales, you can tell that the "fix" 'trk' file does not allow passage through some areas where there are no visible haybales.  What is needed is a re-working of the v2 'trk' file to match it's elevations along the runway straight to the v2 '3do' file.  Until then this "fix' will do fine.... as long as one is aware of the "invisible" haybales.  A new set of LP files that follow a safe path though this area would make for a much better AI experience.  ;)
